Hahaaa Ougi continues to be a mysterious little character... Always look forward to your discussions!

Even without considering the fact that you are currently keeping track of several other series in addition to Monogatari, this was a fantastic discussion, and I appreciate how much you brought in from the story arcs you've already seen (including why Gaen would not want Araragi to die). Also, good job not overlooking the line about Kagenui's disappearance. Can't wait for you to see where things pick up next week!

Oh god we will have a long 3 months with Koyomimonogatari before they start Owari S2, each episode is like just 12min

Well maybe 1.5 if they decide to go 2 at a time, I would suggest even more like 4 at a time since they're pretty straightforward for the most part and don't require long discussions like a normal episode

Vladi

hopefully we do 2-3 at a time, like they went thru the re zero shorts in like 2 weeks ig?

Ben's point of how Araragi had plenty of context (Senjougahara describing her experience of Kanbaru's feelings toward her and how that served as a litmus test of her caliber as a person, Senjougahara expressing how she learned no bond is unconditional, and how Shinobu admirably, brutally confronted the Seishirou's feelings after a big nudge from Kanbaru despite there being no salvation for him) which shaped his thoughts and approach to properly rejecting Hanekawa is actually amazing! Recontextualizing the scene where Araragi rejects Hanekawa in this order makes everything hit harder and enhances all arcs in my opinion, and I hadn't even considered this before Ben mentioned it. It's similar to how Kizumonogatari and Bakemonogatari are both enhanced by watching Bake first, just on a smaller scale. Loved the rest of the discussion about Gaen, Ougi, and Ononoki as well!

Agreed, I always understood the scene at the end of Tsubasa tiger with hanakawa had to happen the way it did, it felt right and proper at least for me internally, but Ben connecting the points like finally clicked for me how to put it together verbally rather than just empatheticly
