My dearest and faithful patrons,

Another month of weirdness has come and gone. Lockdown is becoming normality and I’m scared of it being over and simultaneously can’t wait for it to end… it’s a strange feeling.

It’s been very up and down, I have to say. I know some of you are thriving and some are not, but one thing is for sure, we are very happy to still be making music, videos and art for you lovely people. It’s actually been a really positive thing for us to focus on so thank you for that, it’s keeping us going and determined to come out the other side.

A highlight this month was having you all at the webcast, we really felt it was our best yet. We had more people tune in than ever before so it made us feel very loved. We’ll definitely be doing it again, and making some tweaks to the audio/video to make it even better. Do let us know your suggestions/feedback and thank you for joining us. The comments were epic.

We also received donations that really helped with our finances this month so THANK YOU to everyone who contributed, it was especially appreciated.

This month I’ve also been doing piano "masterclasses" and zooming with you all, the final one of these just finished, and thank you so much for joining me. I’d be very happy to continue these sessions fortnightly, if you enjoy them. Perhaps we’ll keep them quite loose and informal, and I’ll just take song requests and perform, rather than deconstruct things… we shall see. I’m certainly enjoying the staring competitions ;)

---

Anyway, the main "thing" we’re putting out this month is our full-length documentary "How The World Conspired" (plus the main live webcast which you can watch again here if you missed it and my piano classes/chats are all available to watch again in The Patron Facebook Group).

It’s been a labour of love with some very special people - Matas, Gemma and Dan from Aylsebury, who have been our directors/video crew. There’s a lot of detail and care gone into it, with some very tidy editing, and I honestly think it’s one of the best "things" we’ve ever done, certainly the best documentary on Birdeatsbaby that exists. If you are in a music project or something that needs a video team… get in touch.

Another lovely thing is that all your names are in the credits, so when it goes public later this year, we can tag you in it. You are directly responsible for helping us fund this particular project, so thank you again!!!

So, here we go, without further ado… sit back, grab the popcorn and relax... all of Birdeatsbaby's secrets are about to be revealed...

WATCH "HOW THE WORLD CONSPIRED" HERE

Love & Feathers,

X Birdeatsbaby X

PS - The other reward tiers will continue to hit your patreon inboxes so keep an eye out for them… x

It's nice to know things are going smoothly and creativity is not lacking. Starting Monday, I'm getting back to the office, hoping this is not too soon. I'll try to get a device, were I can install Zoom and be present in these gatherings. It will be a pleasure to meet the birdies :) Can hardly wait for the documentary realease, in the meanwhile I've got my eyes on some cd's and vinyl! I was trying to understand if I should address the order to my residence or to the office... Office shall be. Stay safe, everyone Regards from Portugal

That full documentary is just brilliant, isn't it? And isn't Garry lovely? :)

Matthijs

The documentary was amazing. Such talented people! Anna is a great addition, love to hear her drums on the next album (and maybe the flute piano??!)

Matthijs

It really deepens the songs to hear you all talk about it. Also relistening Better Man: I thought the sound of it was familiar, I can hear a bit of Muse in that! Special thanks to Gary for introducing Mishkin into metal. Would love to hear what other bands everybody is into. Which album is on repeat right now? (Also for the rest of the flock! I’m really curious!!)

Darren Robinson

Yes, brilliant documentary. Keep safe and sane all of you on our tiny blue marble.

Thanks Matthijs!!! Some albums we are liking right now would be... Corpo-Mente - Corpo-Mente / Jamie Lenman - Devolver / Gojira - Magma / Baroness - Yell and Green / Feline & Strange - Trigger Warning. Let us know if you need more and please feel free to share some with us! We allllllways need new music

Matthijs

Nice! Diving right in! I’m a big fan of Flashgod Apocalypse’s King right now. Warning: it’s very heavy ;) Also Drudkh “a few lines in archaic Ukraine”. And Empire of the Sun, now that the weather’s getting better :D

Matthijs

Love Gojira by the way :)

Matthijs

Corpo-mente required listening to a couple of times, it’s very layered. I like it! Now trying Devolver

Mishkin Fitzgerald

ok so we LOVE Drudkh and Garry already know Fleshgod but could you recommend two or three top songs of theirs? Or an album? x

Matthijs

Cool! I love the whole album “King”, it’s a masterpiece in my opinion. But you could start with “The Fool”
