To my MLP fans... now that we've finished Season 7 I wanted to take a slight break to get to some of the extra content we've missed along the way. So please suggest any fan content or specials that aren't specific to season 8 or 9! THANKS AND LOVE YOU ALL! ❤️

Ummm

Rarity’s new patterns is a good fan made one

Daniela Meller

are you going to watch mlp the movie?

Boobass

The Rainbow Dash Presents series is pretty humorous, though ep. 1 (Bubbles) is by far the weakest

gold

You should watch pony.mov

Thine Tiny Equine

You do need to watch MLP The Movie 2017. It is canonically a mega-episode and the first episode of Season 8 picks up RIGHT after it. So you're gonna be confused if you don't.

rose

The Fall of sunset shimmer by minty root!

sjones17515

I would assume you've already been told this by whoever is telling you what order to watch things, but MLP: the Movie is part of the show storyline and does come between s7 and s8, so do be sure you do it before the s8 premiere.

vinyl sctatch

You MUST watch pony.mov! It's insanity!

viktorioes

SnowDrop, Fall of the Crystal Empire, and Daylights End by SFS Animation, I Am Octavia by TehJadeh, The Moon Rises by PonyPreservation, and Children Of The Night by Aurelia Art 🫶🏻 all the best animations I remember watching hehe

parker

have you already watched children of the night? highly recommend it !!

Awkward Segway

The .MOV series by Hotdiggedydemon and the rest of Friendship is Witchcraft.

Sky

Double Rainboom

Flux

I'm mainly into grimdarks and my favorite would have to be "An Apple Sleep Experiment" from the lost narrator

viktorioes

Also if you’re looking for adult content the PONY.MOV’s by HotDiggidyDemon is also there 🫶🏻

Ember Aura

As a long term brony, here are some great ones. Captain Hook the Biker Gorilla (yes it’s mlp but you might have to watch a reupload, also it’s kind of long) Don’t Mine at Night Pony Parody (This one is SO GOOD!) Double Rainboom (EVERY brony knows this video!!!) Snowdrop (Every brony knows this one too!) Beat It PMV (Pony Music Video) How Applejack Won the War (I can’t remember if I should put a graphic content warning on this one bc I watched it a long time ago but some parts are pretty funny) Let’s Go and Meet the Bronies (This one’s great for people new to the fandom, but minor adult content warning for like 2 seconds of the video ig???) Friendship is Manly (Another video series that EVERY brony knows, also I’m pretty sure it’d make you laugh) I am Octavia (insanely good Titanium parody) Strangers PMV Pony.mov (HUGE ADULT AND GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING!!! Also very long, but still GREAT, and a huge part of the brony fandom!!! You’ll have to find the reupload though.) Annnd BRONY POLKA!!! All great ones that I’m sure everyone can agree on! 😁 Edit: These are ALL on YouTube and free to watch!

mlpfimguy

I'd recommend anything from forgalorga/AgrolChannel, Minty Root, BrutalWeather and Yudhaikeledai!

Kumba Joof

Equestria girls "summertime shorts" (episodes 1-12). They're choose your own endings. Equestrian girls "Forgotten Friendship" (45 min special). "Better together" shorts (episodes 13-24). The MLP movie (2017). I also love princess Luna's fan made song, "Children of the Night." Hope this helps!

Specter

Rainbow Roadtrip is a special you don’t want to miss. Also some of Piemation’s MLP videos like Applecrack, Friendship is Violence, and The Elements of Cringe.

cydbee

Definitely the mlp movie, the eqg series on youtube , rainbow roadtrip that is on youtube, and snowdrop

Soul

I love turnabout storm. Its a crossover with Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Its really long, but I think people would get a kick in trying to solve the case of whodunit. Theres also a new group currently making a sequal called Elements of Justice that takes place after.

mlpfimguy
>>138630785

Rainbow Roadtrip is fantastic; It's everything the mlp movie should have been

Pinkie_applepie

Rainbow dash presents! Double rainboom, the rest of friendship is witchcraft, turnabout storm series, button mash adventures, don’t mine at night pony parody, derpys toy animation, snowdrop animation, pony girl, Elsa meets my little pony, guardian animation rainbow factory, music video.

CrossX

Double Rainboom was always one of my favorites, I think you'd like it a lot too being a Rainbow Dash fan

Maverick

I'm still hoping you find a way to watch the Pony Anthology videos, but a version with the music unmuted. It's fine if you mute it again for the youtube upload.

Blando

There is indeed a lot of excellent fan content that you should check out. Here are some of my favorites. I'll give a brief explanation of what each recommendation is about. First, I would generally recommend the videos from the "Rainbow Dash Presents" series by "Dawn Somewhere." Specifically, "Rainbow Dash Presents: The Star in Yellow," "Rainbow Dash Presents: Haunting Nightmare," „Rainbow Dash Presents Bittersweet“ and "Rainbow Dash Presents: Captain Hook the Biker Gorilla" are all classics with millions of views. These are fan animations where well-known fan fiction is recreated with alternative versions of the Mane 6. The scripts are well written, the newer videos are visually appealing, and there are original songs, and it’s a great way to learn about fan culture, famous memes, and fan fictions. The channel also offers a parody of the show’s episodes with the same alternative characters. Here are links to the recommended episodes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7HrijDkfHc&list=PL112E2C1E3085C4C7&index=5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYYyMH1qSAA&list=PL112E2C1E3085C4C7&index=6 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMcA6NvJXmk&list=PL112E2C1E3085C4C7&index=9 If you only watch one video from all my recommendations, let it be this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPx-K9QRS8s&list=PL112E2C1E3085C4C7&index=14 There are also several other show parodies. Among others, the famous "Friendship is Witchcraft" series, the recap series by DWK, or the "Scootertrix the Abridged" series. All of these are pretty interesting. There is also a bunch of fan music. The most well-known songs on the channel "BronyDanceParty" are probably immortalized with a music video. Personally, here are some song recommendations that I particularly enjoy: "Frailty" by PrinceWhateverer is probably the most epic battle song ever created about a pastel cartoon pony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_aNxAIndik From the same channel, there is also a love letter to the whole community with "Solidarity MAP": https://www.youtube.com/@princewhateverer/videos Some true classic Sing like Rainbow Factory or Nightmare Night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PjIhs72l0A&t=16s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kle9DkkwlM8 Song amazing Songs from 4EverFreeBrony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3jsYv0QdS8 https://youtu.be/76a9mbMRpzE?si=TkUGuDLU0TCMlVBv https://youtu.be/BcwgkR1Hhdk?si=9tQBhFDLrVZA9-JX

Rainbow Dash Presents is a must. Definitely one of the coolest fan series.

Blando
>>138630737

The animation to the song is fan made, the song is actually not fan made but comes from Erutan (talking about Children of the night)

PwnyBoy

Unless I'm tripping, you still HAVE to listen to the song Discord by TheLivingTombstone. I also would love to see you watch Friendship is manly xD

T

Maybe you can react to Double Rainboom, a colt classic, And some of the equestria girls stuff!

FRANK ocean supremacy

okay that’s cool and all but i just scoot gotta have it tooted up like that 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭

SwaggerMLP

Ponies the anthology Double rainbow BRONIES react

T

More mlp content:”Star Crossed” “Have fun Together” “Twilight sparkle’s little shop of horrors” - all on YouTube including my other comment aswell

patox112

Well there is a lot so here is my list of great fan stuff: Fall of the Crystal Empire Snowdrop Friendship is Manly (and its sequel) A Day in Ponyville My Little Doomsday: Applecrack (CW) Friendship is Violence (CW) Interview with Vinyl and Octavia Vinyl and Octavia - Sunrise Surprise Cartoon - Vinyl And Neon Double Rainboom Remembrance The Fall of Sunset Shimmer: Animated Film Friendship is Magic Bitch Pony.Mov (CW) Anthropology Great to be Different Children of the Night Nightmare Night Discord (remix by The Living Tombstone) Let's Go and Meet the Bronies Derpy - Nyan Nyan Dance How Applejack Won the War (CW) Beyond Her Garden A Tropical Octav3 Magic - [PMV] Rainbow Factory (CW) September (CW) I Am Octavia Don't Mine at Night Brony Polka (watch as the last one) And specifically for you also this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkwbAR9aAqo

Nada Elraddaf

Friendship is manly is pretty funny To understand the Fandom at the time maybe watch the pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows series. I liked it as a kid but rewashing it now it was pretty cringe. But sometimes a little cute. Also the Gypsy Bard song. I know that's a controversial word but the song is really good. (I normally have zero tolerance for slurs but I have genuinely heard so much discourse from Romanis of whether it's a slur or not that I genuinely don't know and don't want to assume)

Tenth

Since everyone is already saying .mov, Ponies the Anthology 100%

Ummm

Also I’m pretty sure the mlp movie has nothing to do with season 8 or 9 plot so you can watch it if you are able to :) (edit- it does have something to do with season 8 so it would be good to watch before you start the season

Jelly Tuna

My little portals an mlp and portal fan animation series, it’s pretty long tho so maybe just watching the first few could be cool. And I also I love the three remaining equestria girls specials, forgotten friendship, and sunsets backstage pass. Spring breakdown should be watched after the MLP Movie

Bethany
>>138639050

It does a tiny bit... not essential to watch season 8, slight spoiler...but one of the new characters is part of a new species from the movie and does give a tiny bitnof context.

Robi S

I would recommend watching My Little Pony The Movie next, since it actually ends up impacting the main story starting in season 8

Owlet23

I second the Pony.Mov series! It's pretty crazy and good.

kittenfood

Hey while their stuff is great, actually don't check out any of Forga/Agrol's stuff yet unless someone curates it for you, because it is FULL of spoilers even in thumbnails and titles. I don't interact with much other fan content so I don't know about other recommended channels, but it definitely has tons of stuff from way beyond what you've watched.

Chris Lillis
>>138630616

I did DWK as a Patreon request a few months back. Unfortunately DWK's style of humour was so poorly received by Scoot and most of his audience that he did not even post it to Patreon since I was able to catch it live.

GreyScale
>>138643987

I agree! But maybe he shouldn't watch it until after the extra stuff and he should watch it right before he starts season 8!

GreyScale

I think you might like these: "Snowdrop" animation "Children of the night" music video "My Little Dashie" short film "Pony.mov" series "Antonymph" music video

GreyScale
>>138664074

Haha, well he's already reacted to cupcakes and smile, so I think he'd be fine watching it! It's a bit more mild than those 2 animations and is pretty funny at times! 😄

ChaoticWolf
>>138630638

nah don‘t, quite a few of Agrolchannels‘ videos have some spoilers, even in thumbnail

ChaoticWolf

Cool! My recommendations will have to be: But first of all, someone recommended “Elemental“ from Princewhateverer. PLEASE DON‘T It‘s a great video, I love it but it has SEVERE spoilers for the finale of season 9. Fall of the Crystal Empire https://youtu.be/vL4q7BBzanI?si=xufExr_jaYfgTzqY Princewhateverer‘s Frailty https://youtu.be/w_aNxAIndik?si=4grvdCgXpUQIyD4G Jyc Row & Princewhateverer‘s Against the Sisters https://youtu.be/vc5XBXdQbw8?si=13UDKudMwmta13t4 - it may look like it would be a spoiler, but it isn‘t, it‘s a fan Alternate Universe Skillet - Rainbow Dash PMW https://youtu.be/WQxV_IFg8N8?si=HKM8t7vw8qZ2Y4gp - this is my favorite Rainbow Dash Pmv/Amv, HOWEVER, it‘s got one scene from the MLP 2017 Movie (it‘s not really a relevant scene and quite short, but you have to decide if you wanna take that risk) - also I‘m pretty sure Skillet isn‘t copyright free The Script - Mlp Pmv (Apple Family) https://youtu.be/9fwoWZ8qLL4?si=ww9x4vN8V4zeSkqG - this is such a great PMV, no spoilers at all, only clips from seasons 1-7 or fan made clips, however here as well, pretty sure The Script is not copyright free I‘m pretty sure So yeah, these would be my recommendations. Maybe if you want to react to the 2 PMVs you could just do so in a Patreon special or smth after watching the MLP Movie cuz I don‘t think you want cooyrighted music in your YouTube videos. Or you could just watch them on your own, either way I recommend it.

ChaoticWolf
>>138664074

Scoot, don‘t react to the Elemental music video, I‘m begging you. It‘s a beautiful video but it has SEVERE SPOILERS

ChaoticWolf
>>138643987

I think it would be better before the fan stuff, that way there is an extra year (2017) of stuff that can be recommended

Jojo

snowdrop and children of the night r both good :)

Ryan A Brandes

I recommend one of the ponies the anthology videos

Echokeesha

I'd recommend watching the MLP: The Movie (2017) since it does come into play in the next two seasons!!

sjones17515
>>138639050

Actually he needs to watch it now, *because* it has to do with season 8. This is precisely where the movie fits in the story

Ummm
>>138639050

Oh yes sorry you’re right I haven’t watched it in ages

Cowboy_002

All of argodaemon’s mlp animations

Easter

DWK!!!!!!! Is a most watch!!! Also; .MOV, mentally advanced series, rainbowdash presents series, smile hd, pieanimations, those are just off the top of the head but theres deffentily more than that. Id personally love to see Fallout Equestria content like crazed ramblings, but most of fallout equestria content is audio books so no visuals. Stable tech series would be shorter and also really good!!!

Lee Drummond

Obviously the MLP Movie should be tops on the list given this is the placement for it chronologically. On the EQG front, I remarked on YouTube earlier about the following content that Scoot hasn't watched... Music to My Ears (2014) Life Is a Runway (2015) Pinkie Spy (2015) All's Fair in Love and Friendship Games (2015) Photo Finished (2015) A Banner Day (2015) There's also a good chunk of post-Legend of Everfree shorts and "pre-series" content from 2017 that hasn't been reacted to outside of Monday Blues (10 shorts, 5 music videos). None of this is essential... but there are some banger music tracks and some great fits for the girls which I know Scoot get a kick out of. After which, there's the first season of the "Better Together" series. The first half of this series - comprising 12 3-minute shorts and 4 interactive 6-minute shorts - takes place prior to Forgotten Friendship, the first of the remaining double-length episodes which essentially take the place of the movies going forward to advance the plot. Some of these are great... many of them are just sort of mid... but it all counts as content. After Forgotten Friendship, there's 12 companion piece shorts all in the same setting, then there's Rollercoaster of Friendship, 6 more interactive shorts and 3 music videos to wrap up "Season 1". Season 2 repeats the same formula - three more double-length episodes, a plethora of related tie-in shorts and three more music videos. There are a bunch of MLP series proper shorts as well... but those probably shouldn't be watched until after Season 8.

Zenya Posada

Fall of the Crystal Empire - MLP fan animation

Zenya Posada

Fall of the crystal Empire is where Luna and Celestia battle king Sombra

Isabella

Pony.mov, Fluffle Puff, Rogue Diamond, The Adjustment Burro, Don't Mine At Night, My Little Brony, Mad Cowboys vs Equestrians, Elsa Meets MLP

Nathan Jarrett

Bronies react is definitely a fun series. Ponies the anthology is also great. The first anthology is really just music over mlp season 1 clips so you can skip it, but 2 and onwards are full productions, bunch of animators worked on them all. Turnabout Storm and it's sequence Elements of Justice are fantastic, but are a bit long and would be best to watch after the series as their own series, if you decide to watch them.

Tavia

The Moon Rises is a great fan made song and animation just like Lullaby for a Princess

Tavia
>>139104742

But the female version with the animation done. It can be found on the channel PonyPreservation

T

A COLT CLASSIC
