My sister uses a regular mouse with her right hand, she's just gotten used to it for casual use. When she needs to, she flips the controls and uses her left hand, but still uses a normal mouse. As for the buttons on the side of the mouse, I can only hope they do sell left handed mice. Now that I think about it, that could be a nice gift, I should look into it.
