Tsukushi competes in the Teen of Japan finals and, despite sabotage, wins over the crowd but ultimately loses the title. Meanwhile, Tsukasa makes a deal with his mother that forces him to leave for New York. After learning this, Tsukushi chases him to the airport and finally confesses her feelings before he departs.

Sobbed my way through this episode. I’ll keep saying this till I’m blue in the face but this is the best adaptation. season 2 is a bit longer and a imo bit more convoluted which might lower the experience but really what saves it is the acting and the chemistry between the two leads. Episode 1 is about 90 minutes so get ready!
