I would love to know in what aspects you identify yourself with Mónica (it would be an interesting fact to know). I think my favorite is Chandler, because he's so creative and funny. Did you know that many of his jokes are improvised? And they are so good, that the producers decided to leave them as part of the show. Don't apologize for the intro or the ending comments, because they are some of the most interesting parts of the video. I think it's great that you can share your views on it, so please keep it up!

I haven't thought about it too hard, but I often identify with Monica when she reacts to certain things... I guess as an introvert overthinker? Or someone who finds comfort in order/ control? I think that seeing her struggle to be comfortable in her own skin is something that just clicks with me, or the fact that she looks ahead at her life and worries sometimes (Chandler does this too). But I'll have to take a personality test, that would give a more complete answer. And I did not know that Chandler improvised, in fact his lines can be so sharp I actually assumed the opposite and was crediting the writers, but that's so impressive! He really is a talented star, thinking on your feet like that is a special skill I'm really glad that you enjoy my rambling before and after. Funnily enough, those are also usually my favorite parts of a reaction video (I watch FAR more reviews/ deep dives of movies than reactions, which I like doing but rarely actually watch for some reason) but just sometimes feel like they are boring to other people (based on analytics from Youtube) But I will continue to do them! :)

yeah Matthew Perry (Chandler) improved many of the most iconic friends soundbytes... its really funny to go back and watch the blooper/gag reels and watch some of the takes that were cut (because some of the cast laughed etc) and see how different each take is... Perry seem very quick witted. Love your reaction to Friends.. looking forward to watching along with u.. and maybe i will start to watch more of your reactions.

Matthew Perry and Julia Roberts dated for a few months after they met filming this episode. In his memoir he said he broke up with her because he felt like he was "unlovable" and "could never be enough", which is really sad. Julia Roberts's sister, Lisa Roberts Gillan, plays the other production assistant who is also Joey's date. And show creators Kevin Bright, David Crane and Marta Kauffman also act as director/film crew. The one with the prom video is one of best episodes of the series. Rachel walking up to Ross and kissing him was so romantic and sweet. But, unfortunately, the lobster theory is not true. Lobsters, by nature, are not monogamous and do not pair for life. A dominant male will actually mate with multiple females during encounters that last days to weeks. Also, when Courteney Cox wore her fat suit for the first time Matthew Perry walked by her without knowing who she was.

Oh my gosh, this is by far my favourite Friends reaction of yours! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much! (Especially the prom video. That episode is super iconic!). Now regarding 2x13, it's already been mentioned but Julia Roberts dated Matthew Perry, although when I first saw this as a kid I was very surprised to see her on Friends too. As for Jean-Claude Van Damme, I'm pretty sure he was big in the 90s? I've never watched his films either but I have a special fondness for him because growing up I always remember my parents watching his films. It was always either Denzel, Arnie, Bruce Willis or Jean Claude...so he brings up a lot of nostalgia for me. From memory I think his style was a cross between Arnie and Bruce Lee? The reference to Cybill Shepard...yes she was big back then as well. Growing up I remember she had her own TV show but I think I was too young to appreciate it. One of her biggest shows was "Moonlighting" with Bruce Willis so you can google it. Maybe you might recognise her? Now on to 2x14! AHH! This is still one of my favourite episodes EVER. First of all, your reaction to Joey’s gift…my gosh, your poker face sucks, Thor! (no offence haha). Second, the prom video…I just LOVE the outfits especially Ross. Joey made a reference that Ross looked like Mr. Kotter which is a reference to the show “Welcome Back, Kotter.” I had to google this reference myself but the resemblance is spot on! haha And finally, Ross and Rachel! I am so glad that they didn’t drag it on but your reaction to that was so fun to watch! I can’t give my full opinion on them as a couple because a lot happens in the show…but after all these years, that kiss still melts my heart. Oh and also, the lobster reference is very special to me too. Even though as a previous commenter mentioned, it’s not wholly true about lobsters, that metaphor will always be up there along with “as you wish” for me. Such a sweet sentiment! Anyway, I just realised that this might actually be my last one for a bit :(… but what an awesome one to end with. Your Friends reactions are the best! Loved it! :)

Loved your reaction! This had me laugh/smile a lot. Anybody else think Ross looked like Weird Al as a college boy?! xD Btw, I took a quiz (quizzES I should say) after the reaction when you asked and my first result was Chandler and I was a bit miffed but then was I like, meh, I guess (it was the self-sabotaging episode). Then I took a different quiz and it said Emma (still to come, I guess). The third quiz said Ross. Then I asked my friend, who has seen all Friends seasons, and she said Joey, lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'd be curious to know for people who took different quizzes whether their results also differed that much or whether they got the same results.

Also, not a huge van Damme fan, but you should check out Bloodsport (late 80s martial arts action). And you need to watch some Julia Roberts movies! My favourites are August: Osage County, Erin Brockovich (she won an Academy Award for Best Actress), and Notting Hill.

The prom video episode is one of the best episodes of the whole series. I'm sorry but you have to watch Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere- it's a classic!

Jeanette Dawe

I am so glad you are liking Monica more :) I find that most reactors look over her a lot she has always been my favorite character.

Great reaction, and ESPECIALLY great ending comments. I get really into the things I watch, and with something as full as friends, there’s a lot to get into. I genuinely shed tears at the prom video episode every single time. You said it best, those scenes transcend sitcoms. It is some next level emotional narrative. Your ending comments really made me glad you had a similar feeling. I love this show so much
