Hello, everyone!

As some of you may or may not have seen, I recently "turned off" notifications for comments on my Twitter because they were stressing me out so much. It's got me thinking, "Are socials really what folks use to find and support my work, or naw?" so I'm curious as to the conversion rate from social media sites like Twitter, Insta, Tumblr, etc versus folks who pledge to this page from comic focused sites like Tapas, Webtoons, etc.I've got my own assumptions about this stuff, but I wanted to actually ask before I do or don't do anything with regards to my social media posting habits.

So, to put the question another way: where did you learn about my Patreon from and then pledge to it?

Allan Meyer

Proudly proclaim it was Space School on Tapas.

Jackie

I found you through cmakesp. I don't remember exactly how I found the patreon. It probably WAS social media but it was me seeking you out specifically cause I wanted to see more of your stuff

Tempestt Parham

I found it through the solanaceae game on STEAM and then followed it to ALL the comic sites. Then finally ended up on Patreon (I already pledge to others so you are not the first nor the last I have supported).

Nihal

Found your content (and patreon) through itch.io! Specifically through a bundle where one of your comics was included

DCS

💖💖💖💖

DCS

Oooh! Good to know!

DCS

Oooh ok! Yeah, the cmakesp collab I did has been very fruitful for me.

DCS

OOOH! INTERESTING! Thank you!

DCS

OH!!! Deep cut, good to know, thank you!

DCS

Itchio coming through for me, thank you!

DCS

MY HERO 💖💖💖 u were so nice, seriously

Broeckchen

It's honestly hilarious that I found you on either FurAffinity or Weasyl, two sites I very rarely go to and that don't super line up with your content? But I was promptly smitten by Solanacae and decided to sniff you out on here ♡

Quadrant

Oh christ if I can fucking remember it was so long ago lol. I'm sure I first stumbled across your work on Smackjeeves like so many others? The very least I followed your stuff on ComicFury and branched out from there

DCS

Oh, I've always thought I was furry adjacent and I have a ton of furry fans? (That's why I post on FA still, lots of nice folks there!) Gummy, surely, is for the furries at least hehe

DCS

WOW!! Smackjeeves, deep cut!

Broeckchen

Oh absolutely! Let me correct myself: it's one of your less furry heavy works. Like, Pumpkin and Kabocha for example go pretty whole hog on the concept in comparison. 🤭 But honestly, I never cared about the fur percentage in the comic. The writing was wonderful and I adored the art and character designs (Battam's and Satine's color schemes are EVERYTHING), so it caught my attention right away. I'm sure plenty of other people on FA and Weasyl feel the same way, especially since Sola is not offtopic.

Lani

Itch! I was looking through the gay visual novels lol

DCS

More folks found me from itchio than I thought!! Dang! It's coming thru for me!

Quadrant

So many good comics died on that site 😆

Kaede Hatake

I think I saw the Solanaceae game on some recommendations list, maybe on blgamesworld, blerdyotome or smth like that - But I remember it had little pictures and I instantely fell in love with your art-style💘Then I landed on itch.io, got everything that was offered there and soon pledged on patreon too😁

DCS

Yeah, that's what I meant! My work is usually "furry enough" that it fits into those sites and furries in general seem to enjoy it. Just got a lot of monster cuties and I think that's enough :P

Broeckchen

Yessss! I love monster cuties!!!

Ro Molina

Same here. I found you the same way.

aimxforthexmoon

You were my best find in years, part of the reason why I love going to cons!

Tomodachibirb

I believe I found you through one of your old collab games with nomnomnami! Possibly mermaid splash but not quite sure. Then I followed you on tumblr, and found the patreon thru there :)

DCS

Wow! That's a deep cut! Thanks for letting me know!

DCS

Interesting! Itchio seems to be coming through for me more than I thought!!!

Tomodachibirb

Yeah I've been here for a while!! I believe that I first just followed space school, then I found your nsfw stuff around the time mmian wrapped up and the third chapter of sola began, and i just fell in love with all of your characters and have been here since <33

Allan Meyer

DCS your art style is I dare say totally unique and recognizable anywhere, another of the main reasons I pledge.

Blaknite

I honestly don't remember

Des

Found u on tapas like 3 years ago maybe more. Haven't left u since.

Cosmic Ghoulan-Universe

I think I found you when I was looking for some new visual novels to read.

DCS

Oooh yes OLD SCHOOL!!! Third chapter of MMian, WOW!!! thanks for sticking with me!!!

DCS

Good to know-- thanks! This seems to be the main way people support this Patreon so I'm glad I've put a lot of love into Tapas...

DCS

Good to know! Did you use Itchio or Steam at the time, if you don't mind answering?

DCS

Great to know! Thank you! 👍👍

NeonNym

My friend had reccomended me Solanaceae because I had a Satyr character in our dnd campaign. I immediately fell in love the second i began reading Solanaceae through google play, then i moved to comic fury. And of reccent I've been reading your content from your personal site and Patreon! Granted I follow you on a bunch of sites now pfft.💕

DCS

Good to know, thanks! Word of mouth recommendations really work well. Though, this didn't exactly answer the question this poll was asking ;3c

Toki

Another one from Itchio o/

Archidanza

From itch.io! I played one of your game first and fell in love.

Kaden & Blu

I... think I found you on Tumblr but I've been following you on various social media for over 5 years now so I'm not 100% sure

DCS

Oh! Thanks!!!!
