The Solar Punk Witch

I recently read a biography of her life (and death) it made me so emotional how she was strung up to dry by her supporters and executed

the banner looks like what i remember the description being, but was that the design on her shield? Or is it guesswork? Either way this illustration looks awesome! :)

I knew you would draw a great St Jeanne. Ever since reading the collected contemporary descriptions of her collected on https://www.jeanne-darc.info. Short with short black hair, a "sturdy build", and "well-formed" . When I read these, about a year ago I immediately thought they were describing one of your girls. Since that is how you like to draw girls.

Just, wow! Now there's a girl who knows her stuff. Lots written about Jeanne d'Arc, you have put a certain "humanity" to her depiction. The armour is, as usual, excellent, well done.

Ive been wondering what sort of books do you work from for your armor drawings? Do you have some suggestions? I had some long ago from a publisher by the name of Osprey which gave a quick run down. Any suggestions?

to me, I gather every information I can. I mostly watch reenactment video and photo, also the armorsmith's recreation for most realistic looks. and I get inspired by video game rendering and old manuscript art style for drawing.

Very demure. Very mindful.

A lovely Jeanne d' Arc! You've given her the proper respect!
