Different audiences like different things. The good news is, you have the ability to shift back and forth as many times as you personally like. At the end of it all, do you! Your audience will find you!

Charles S

Both have merit but remove the top entirely and watch the viewcount. It's weirdly predictable honestly

Doug M

Fantasy Knight is wonderful when you first start to play RPGs. The longer you play the more you start to ask questions. Would this armor actually work? Is that sword actually balanced? How did they keep their hair clean? That is when you realize Historical Knight is actually best. I am sure someone will say "but magic" and that does work, but the more people rely on magic for anything it cheapens that magic in your setting.

Andrew

Historical armour all the way for me

Quaffnot the Raven

Humans like sexy *shrug*, not a whole lot to be done about that. That's why parade uniforms exist, right? And ceremonial armor? We like flashy. Doesnt make the real armor bad though nor does it make fantasy armor good. It just explains the difference in views. I like both, but I like the real armor more (I like sensible armor) and find the fantasy armor silly. But, I still enjoy both and contribute views to both. I just hope whomever I get stuck with during the zombie apocalypse studied real armor not fantasy armor.

Tyler Randalls

Historical armour is way cooler and still very cute in a much more modest way. It's just overshadowed by the power of gooners.

Milleniumsword

I would blame the Algorithm not Peoples preferences. I prefer the left one.

Jeremy _

Yes. And I say this as someone who normally prefers history to fantasy. Just when it comes to visuals, fantasy is pleasing.

Bushlover

Both are good But titties simply attract more people

Matthew D. Riddle

Prefer historical, but im pretty sure all the algorithms on all the platforms are set to "sex sells" mode. Both are awesome though.

Just Jack

Problem is, these cater to different demographics that slightly overlap. They are not "good, or bad" they just are.

Juan E

Behold! The healing power of "and" 😉 Perhaps I'm just greedy, but I'll take both.

Crackalackin

The lack of bottom heavy is disappointing

Blaeinger

Left is way better. Right has stupidly oversized breasts that only manchildren want.

Derufu

Hi, I'm manchildren

Blaeinger

Reply unnecessary. Profile pic speaks for you.

KH7

Honestly, I like both, but it depends on what mood I'm in.

Penelope

Making it more historical/functional like left just adds more depth, even in a fantasy setting. We had too much of right from 90% of the fantasy genre

Yannic Jaeckel

Historical all the way... I never understand why fantasy armour never includes all the fabulous clothing worn under and over armour! Also ... Why leather? It's mostly boring brown and dull. Historical, on the other hand... I mean.... Silk, Velvet and Brocade on top of gleaming and glimmering polished steel... What's not to like?! Notwithstanding brass accents, gilding, etching ... fabulous stuff

Captain Cosmic

Both are good, but I prefer au natural “armor.”

Brooks Moses

The reason that the historical stuff gets fewer views is just that so many fewer people had internet in historical times. Getting 1400 views is actually pretty amazing for the time!

Gregory John Fink

Love the accurate armour more than the fantasy one

Rithrin

After randomly deciding to revisit Soul Calibur the other day, I can understand the appeal of the right. But I kept thinking how much cooler some of the female characters would be if their armor was more like the left!

narkosys

Definitely prefer more towards the historical side

Henry Walker

Hilde is about as close as you will get in Soul Calibur, unless you are willing to make your own.

Henry Walker

Yeah, sad, but true, so many looking for their "cheese cake" rather than looking at the elegance, the usefulness of real armour. Gotta highlight those "female attributes" to attract them, which is sad.

Doctor Atomic

I like the historic look, we get good cheesecake with that.

wiggles

For me I prefer Historical for sure, but then I also get everyone has their own preferences

Dr Razno

This does make me wonder what kinds of armor you'd design if you were making fantasy armies, since you wouldn't compromise the principles of armor...
