I wouldn't call her a hag, aging gracefully is something we all must struggle with. I'm 58 and feel every day of it sometimes. There is beauty in aging, it's just different from youth. Facing your mortality is one of the most difficult things we do as humans.

I think she is lovely and younger than I. Although withering seems a harsh word it is an accurate word for what happens to us all if we do not pass early. We can slow it but eventually we must leave this life.
