Twinkles in the Ink ✨ The Moon (Patreon)
Content
There are always some things in my head running. Sometimes it’s scripture or poetry. Sometimes it’s work and daily life. Sometimes I just let my mind be like Tinta leaping between shelves.
After washing my hands with soapworts this evening, I see the reflection of the full moon in the basin. The moonlight is flickering and swaying across the water’s surface, also stirring my curiosity like a bubbling spring: How do people in different places call the moon? How do they describe it?
Would it be like the moon in the volumes of verse in Grandfather’s study, grand and mysterious? Or would it be more like what Grandmother used to tell me as a child "a big and perfectly round pearl set in the night sky", so vivid and endearing? Perhaps it is like some imagination Tinta would have, a giant bowl of white milk. Sometimes this little black furball wakes from sleep to lick its paws in the moonlight, as if it had just taken a sip in its dreams!
