I made sure this one counted.

Narrated: Antique Counter [Restoration]

Comments

Chris B. Critter

Oh! When it said, "Antique Counter," I was expecting an ancient horizontal platform for baking bread. Perhaps made from 3,000 year old rosewood, accented in bronze.

Something odd is going on with that link. On mobile the embed is forcing me to log into youtube to prove that I am not a bot. But when I click on that, i just get redirected to the youtube mobile site, where I already am logged in. It works on PC though.

Peter Špalek

Just imagine use this counter as tool for YouTuber or streamer who is starting his channel. Connect this counter to ESP32 and write program that counts YouTube subscribers and when it reaches 99999 you get your first play button.

TOP TIP: Next time a spring or anything falls under your workbench and you can't reach it all you need to do is set fire to the bench and carefully sweep the ash away afterwards to reveal it. Works every time.

Paul Grosskopf

The Saga of the Spring had me rolling - it perfectly echoed anytime i try to do something in the garage or around the house. And seriously, when did they start encasing 2032 batteries in epoxy resin?!?

Boggz

Copper plated to reduce the chance of sparking and setting fire to the print paper maybe ??

Ryan Whitten

What a great video! The part with the spring and the battery just killed me! Awesome little counter and I'm looking forward to seeing number 100.

I’m now expecting a ‘kachunk’ at the end of every restoration video

Not a criticism, but why did you not solder the broken hinge? This seems like the perfect application for that technique, no?

Denis Kelly

I don't know where you get your patience from but thank you for this great work.....deeeep breath

John willis

The little arm with a tooth that engages a ratchet wheel to prevent rotation in one direction but slip in the other direction is a “pawl”. There are two or more pawls, for example, in a bicycle’s freewheel or freehub mechanism. 😊

John willis

Thank you for counting out all the restorations!! It was so great to see all of them hanging out together, like actors hanging around the set after filming is done 😊 I wonder if Apple Peeler, Saw Blade Sharpener, and Noodle Maker get along together in real life 🤔

sadie_is_upset

i can't watch these anymore, because youtube refuses to let me watch them on a vpn, and i don't want to get off the vpn. sorry, wish you the best of luck, but i can't be a patron anymore.

Marc McKenzie

Congratulations, Eric! I’ve followed you from the very beginning. It’s really hard to believe 10 years have gone by. I’m sure pulling this counter on each video that you make of a restoration, will become a future. Hope you’re still enjoying doing this. You’re such a bright man, and I know many things are interesting to you.

John   Spetrino

Im literally doing the same thing, got the notification and thought you stole my kit!

Last Born

I am 99.9% confident that I know nothing or no body involved with that counter… and because of this comment Skynet will not track down any members of the Conner/Reese lineage … and you will have antigues to restore for at least one more decade before the machines have melted it all down 😊

Jeffrey Hampton

Thanks for the funny gag on a relatable frustration, Eric. I'm going through a difficult time now. The issue of one problem leading to a new problem then getting sideswiped by a new unrelated problem etc., is a big part of my troubles.

SlvrScoobie

ah the old 48 step Side Quest, to recover the spring.

Haze Skunk

Would it be possible for you to just share the narrated video link? Patreon keeps telling me to sign into youtube, when I'm already signed in and it just won't let me watch it here.

20xx batteries now require a blood sacrifice to protect the babies from eating them.

John Boyarsky

I have had too many days in the shop where the side projects needed to complete the main project eat up more time than the project itself. Mostly it's walking back to where I was to get a pencil.... Or tape measure... Or plans.. Or coffee cup... Or what did I come back here for?
