I am going back in time, because I can. This channel is the reason why I often look at modern subpar paint jobs and think. This shit could do with some japaning

Clifton Ballad

Perfect Timing! I didnt feel like doing anything for the next half an hour or so...

Soooo.... that little metal tab with the screw on the inside... Support tab for the droppings tray or guide for some of the "chips"?

Jay Rawson

Badass, "Stay Inside" is a nice answer to "Sausages", but not a replacement, never that. OK back to quarantine protocol ... All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy...

Umm_ isn't the '... make life difficult..." the part of the equation of life that makes things - FUN🤔? I mean, without you having a teeny, tiny bit of difficulty, where would OUR fun come from? Huh? RIGHT? HEY😲! You listening to me? HEY! I'M TALKING TO YOU! COME BACK HERE😖!!! Dag-nab-it_ worse than the dang cat! - - -

Jason Crawford

If only we could cover more things in japanning... oh wait....

Marc McKenzie

I'm surprised you didn't name the episode "The Perforator"! When I was in late elementary and Jr. High School, my first savings account would be marked with a very similar device of perhaps the same vintage when I had completed a page. The teller would congratulate me on saving every week, but I don't remember what was marked at the bottom of the passbook (which was lost to time, unfortunately). When you are growing up you don't know what everyday items will become mysterious anachronisms 50 years later! ...and I share your love of nickel plating. Subtle and elegant when done right. Thanks Eric!

Great show, HTR. What happens with the spent Evapo-Rust? They come get it? Is it up to you? Could I just toss it in the woods?

Alaskan Rock Vodka

Stay inside. Stay inside. Ear worm. Thanks buddy. ✌️

Mr Fixall

Used Evapo-Rust is non-toxic (unless you get lead or similar in it) so unless your area has regulations covering disposal of iron oxides you can just put it down the drain. Good stuff!

handtoolrescue

You can just pour it down the drain or in your garden, apparently.

handtoolrescue

It does sound like the worst superhero name of all time, haha.

2026-09-24 07:00 Keep up the good work, half the tools you talk about a readily available in U.S./Can but are not obtainable or if they are at an exorbitant cost. I blame going metric people my age talk in16ths and inches. My son who is now 33 still goes to B&Q looking for 2"x4" in 2M lengths.

Apart from the currency decimalization bringing the U.K. into line has been a complete balls up.
