Comments

Bryan Sportel

Will there be schmoo? Looking forward to this one.

Cassia

how dare you.. i paid virtually nothing for access to your dulcet tones

Lech Narożny

I think no paint is even more blasphemous than grease

John Toves

Is it too late to change the title of the video to "Bridgebort Milling Machine"?

John Toves

Then when a troll corrects you, you say it's technically correct. The best kind of correct.

Heath Rice

Wait, Eric has kids? That doesn't seem safe.

benjamin ewing

Your voice to the masses not just your batrons

Curtis Lee Zeitelhack

"Bridgebort" sounds like something the Swedish Chef from The Muppets Show would say.

Darren Green

Yes! I'm getting ready to start on mine this Spring! Great timing! I love exclamation marks!

Scott Miller

Coulda Japanned it... ALL of it...

Don H.

I love the metal look. Definitely looks way petter than the baint.

Marc McKenzie

Back when this was made, there was hell to pay for the poor mold maker who aBorted the Bridge logo in the casting. I bet his name was something like Beter, Baul, or Berry...

Glenn Severance

You are a stud. By far the best restoration channel on YouTube. Just got my screwdriver and should not say how I celebrated with it. Lets just say it was a penetrating experience and leave it at that. Thanks a ton for all the great content. You, Diresta, AvE, and This Old Tony rock the electronical entertainment world!

Timothy J. Brown

Now that is a genuine "clapped out bridgeport" you've got there!

Clifton Ballad

I can't Not see or hear it now... Like, I'm trying and It's. Not. Working...

Clifton Ballad

I was going to comment how hearing the HTR theme song fills a shitty day with joy, and then you come up with BridgeBORT. And now that's all I can see. I'm still not sure how I feel about this, other than the machinists are going to hate me even more than they do already....

Robert Speer

Wasn’t there mention on fixall about something on this machine that was very stuck? I am still in suspense as to the end of that epic battle between man and machine

Brian Myers

4:35...I got all excited and made popcorn. "Work it! Work that steal!"

Brian Myers

Why didn't you disassemble the vice. That's not like you...where is our Hand Tool Rescue!? What have you done with him? o.O

Old Crow Bourbon

May I give you some older brother advice? Start wearing a back brace now. It’s chief benefit now will be to remind you to take better care of your back when you’re lifting colossal chunks of metal. Trust me on this, as a 55 yo who was once as old as you are now. Good video so far!

Old Crow Bourbon

15:00 One of your wood-turning fans would probably be delighted to encase those shavings in epoxy, and then make you a screwdriver handle or a bowl or a toothpick or something.

Old Crow Bourbon

Okay all done. Yeah, the bare metal is the right choice. Beautiful and evocative. Nice job, and thanks!

Blank blank

I have a question? What kind of paint stripper are you always using? I hear you talk about how its strong stuff, I have some safe erase on the way, I wanted to see what else you recommend.

Blank blank

Thanks! I went looking for it today, unfortunately it's not too readily available here in the US. While I was out though I happened to take a look at a bottle of Goof off. It said it removes asphalt, and tar. So I picked some up, hoping it might actually work for japanning. Have you ever tried that stuff on japanning?

Blank blank

Just wanted to give you an update. Goof off, actually seems to work on the japanning stanley uses. I just sprayed some on and went to wipe it around, and it seemed to start working pretty fast. The only draw back is it evaporates fast, so I would just use a wire brush, and keep applying if you give it a shot. Edit: the best option, if possible would be to soak it in a large container with a lid. To keep the evaporation down. If at all possible.

Justus Allison

Im about to do this on my Bridgeport at work. This should help. Thanks a lot.

Justus Allison

Also, im happy to be a new patron, your videos are the best.
