Can neutralize the acid with a base such as lye, soda ash or calcium carbonate.

Eff yes!!! I've been jonesing for some new HTR sensuousness. Can't wait to watch it!! Thanks bro

Such a sexy title. I always wait till late in the evening to watch, uninterrupted. This is very important. It is only then, through your wizardry, I can achieve my moment of zen. Thank you for that.

Scott Hampshire

And to think we've been bamboozled to believe you're only working on the ground smashy smash. This pleases me.

May it remain so! All the best from Australia mate your Vids are the highlight of my month!

Great project and well done. It takes me back to when I worked in the dairy lab nearly 50 years ago. We used those Babcock flasks. The cheese fat test was extra special. Such a wonderful bouquet wafting through the lab as the acid denatured the protein in the cheese. Everyone would suddenly go for coffee break when I ran that test. And oh the aroma of a 'hot tank' of milk straight from the truck that took too long to get to the dairy.

Eric, you definitely win the summer school science fair, but I think your talent singing seductive jazz is equally promising. You can read about it in the upcoming issue of “Brass Life!”

Brian Myers

A what!? Oh, and you get burned? It's popcorn time!

Alaskan Rock Vodka

Terrifying. Was screaming at the screen "Eric - put the cap ON!" Thanks for the heart-starter, mate.

Brian Myers

That was cool. The stuff you find. Awesome. And thanks for the tutorial!

These videos make me so happy.

Taj Baber

That was sketchy, man. It had me nervous 😁 good job 👏

Brooks Moses

That is a lovely blue! I'm guessing we can't get your fancy Canadian paints down here in California, but in case we can, could you share what particular paint ended up being such a close match?

Jon johnson

Still intact.... Oh Gawd.. did anyone else laugh !!! good times

Chris Crowther

Simple to use for anyone on a farm..with hugely fragile glass and concentrated sulphuric acid. Can’t go wrong with more shiny brass.

Clifford Seifer

What do you do with the Babcock bottle full of water and fat and sulfuric acid after you are done testing? If it were me I would either move to a new home or put it somewhere out of the way while I contemplated for several months until someone accidentally brushes it and it shatters on the basement floor

Old Crow Bourbon

It was funny/touching how your voice went up an octave and you started to shout.

Jochen Römling

You hope we learned something? Could there possibly be anyone here who can say: "Nah, I knew all of that already!" This was so fascinating, especially that they made those bottles for this specific purpose and that you can still buy them.

handtoolrescue

During the editing, I was yelling at myself to put it back on!

I love Evaporust as much as the next tool junkie but it ruined the paint on my 1940s Record woodworking vise. It turned it from a deep blue to a chalky powdery blue. Have you ever had this issue?

Jonathan Keeling

Thanks for being such an interesting fellow :)

Kris Douglas

If you're committing to Evaporust, you're basically committing to repainting it. best to paint strip/ Nitromors it and start fresh.
