Can you get NileRed involved? He's Canadian right? They're your best go-to-guys.

Seemah C

Inject that shit right in my veins

Marcel Boudreau

That was fun. At least more fun than whittling down a log to make a toothpick I suppose but then who in their right mind would do that?? Got to have fun.

CJ Sailey

What you gonna do with the wrench? Any chance you would sell it as a "special edition"? :)

Mat Fordon

I think the evapo-rust eventually evaporated to the point where the chelating agent locked onto the mill scale. It probably just takes an extended period of time, apparently less than 3 years. Run another experiment with a few different pieces of mill scaled metal and another wrench, but pull everything out every month to see what's happening. Experiments!

SlvrScoobie

So did you purposefully leave it in there or was it an accident? Did it take 3 years to dry out or not sure? So many questions. I wonder if the real solution is water based or if it’s an oil/ alcohol base.

Dwayne Garrison

I was waiting for you to fill the bowl up with water since that has the original water line on it for the correct ratio...but nooooooo just leave my ass hanging...thanks a lot buddy!

Dan Johnston

The little seeds are a nice touch. Not sure what's in Evaporust, but it's obviosly powerful stuff. Try smoking a wee chunk.

Oldtimeytools

Amaze balls. Please forge that little bit of evapo-ore into a tiny screwdriver.

Oldtimeytools

Either that or dump it on your tomato plants and see what happens!

Awesome! Are you releasing this publicly? Not sure if this will destroy the stats on my vinegar vs rust for 19 months video or give them new life, but more importantly, I will gladly send this to my friend Henry the Metals Guy to see if he has any thoughts on the silver appearance… but don’t want to pass around an unlisted video without your OK! Fine by me either way. Thanks for your work!

Marshall Horton

Pretty sure there is a small static shock shown at 9:05 between the PVC magnet shield and the brown residue. Go frame by frame and you'll see it. Why did it only spark to that chunk? CALL ELECTROBOOM!

Jay Rawson

Spock sabatawge the system.

Henry Oberholtzer

If it's an oxide layer on the wrench when it goes in - could that be affected by the same chemical reaction that removes iron oxide from a rusty tool & creating the shiny appearance?

Bpendragon

REally rescuing the hand tool in this one

Raul Ramos

Mate, you're fantastic. Thank you for helping with my mental health

TBthegr81

One could say it... Evaporated!

KatH

Saw the little yellow spark between the brown residue and the magnet. Intriguing

handtoolrescue

It's water-based and it dried very slowly. It was a thick goo for about a year before getting this hard.

handtoolrescue

I'll release it tomorrow. You can totally share it with him. I'm all ears.

handtoolrescue

Evapo-Rust usually does not take off mill scale, but who knows?

Doug

Sell the chunks, premium for the choice Neopolitan bites

Adam Nash

I thought Evaporust was mainly tannic acid.

Adam Nash

Heat the chunks with a torch and convert between iron species. How does it respond to the magnet afterwards?

Janet Dupree

The soft brown stuff is a brownie! The outer layers are cookies! However, do not try it eat any of the 3-layer confection as dire consequences may follow. Keep it away from children and pets. You may it make available to zombies or other things that threaten civilization as we know it. Depose of it (after your experiments are completed) in a lead-lined container. Please not repeat this experiment unless in a level 3 lab.

"I have no idea what this is. If anyone has any idea let me know" Its a wrench.
