Chapter 5 Preview:

Cloud worked her revolvers as fast as she possibly could, and I used the moment of distraction to move around behind my friends at full speed. I kept going until had left my friends and made my way to our enemies’ flank. I now had clear lines for my spells towards Lord Vermillion and Siren. Cloud’s pistols shattered one skeleton after the other, over and over again, but they were clamoring out of the ground faster than Cloud could shoot.

Hone closed in and immediately went for a high kick right at Siren’s head, and to his surprise, the perfect technique but he passed right through her. Emma threw her chakrams at Vermillion, forcing him to duck behind a stone carved support pillar for cover. If this battle were just my three friends versus Vermillion and his minions, it would have been a fair fight. However, I was there, and he had no idea that I was a mage.

I felt through the earth for the power of stone, and with a flick of my wing, I lifted a huge chunk of elemental rock from the ground before hurling it right at him. I need speak no words to cast my spells and to this day, still can cast them perfectly silent.

“What!?” Vermillion called out as the rock slammed into his covering pillar and cracked it, with the elemental energy suddenly grounding him to the dirt and weighing him down. “The chocobo can cast!? And she’s better than Moomba!”
