Obviously at initial glance the foundation of the series was about a grey falling for shepherd and it’s their love story. For me personally the foundation of the show (the first 10 seasons) was grey and Yang becoming friends and later their sisterhood. I agree that Alex and Yang convo hit different. There was always a sibling rivalry there. Her giving him his flowers and leaving her shares of the hospital though, classic big sister moment. Very excited for you to see how the next season plays out.

"B**** thats your dad!!!" I'm crying this is such a beautiful episode. Also, you're right they weren't dancing to "Where Does the Good Go" at the time. They dubbed it in later because of it's significance season 1 ep 4 when the scrub nurse who had cancer passed when Christina was feigning for a surgery and MerDer went on their first date. Also "he's not the sun, you are" is a huge line amongst grey's fans! Good riddance to Shane lmao he annoyed me so much

This was the PERFECT send off for cristina yang. She is a fan favourite for a reason and i appreciate the way shonda and the other writers approached her departure. It was definitely a good thing for her character as well. I agree with you about the alex and cristina moment you don’t see it a lot but the three of them really care for eachother .

And there are so many things making me emotional in that episode. Of course in the beginning we're all stressing out about the potential of Cristina being at the mall when the accident happens. Like we don't trust Shonda at that point. So I was very happy to see her and the fact she left alive is so great. That last scene with Mer ? I just love everything about it and I loved how you reacted to the speech "he is not the sun you are" YES. Thank you Cristina for these words. I just got so emotional about Alex getting Cristina's shares though. Like you said we know Mer and Cristina are each other person so it's not unexpected. But the way she just said Alex was very good and all. I also feel she gave him her shares so he wouldn't leave and that just warms my heart. Also, Japril here was so cute in the end. And can I just say I LOVE Leah so much ? I mean she got fired and she just came to help anyway without even asking for anything in return. And she even called Shane out. Ugh. True gem here. (Oh and side note but I'm glad Mer is finally fighting back and I just swear I rolled my eyes so far when Derek was saying she was selfish. Uh... dude, you've been the selfish one for a while imo.). Last but no least : Your reaction to the big reveal with Maggie was top quality. Just perfect. Can't wait for you to start on season 11 and see what's next !

I SWEAR I can't listen to that song that plays while Christina is on the cab and not get emotional thinking of her leaving. That sounds crazy fan shit but I don't know that scene with that song always gets me.

One little thing I think you lost amidst the Maggie bomb & the core of Yang's departure: Yang's departure means her seat on the hospital board is open, and Webber told Bailey they intend to ask her to take it, which her and Ben are ecstatic about. However, Yang gave her shares to Karev when she left, which will throw a rather large wrench into those plans (especially since Karev and Wilson just found out, no one else knows yet).

CRISTINA DEVOURED HER SPEECH TO MEREDITH! also even tho this was not a violent finale these cliffhangers were violently outrageous 😂😂 I binged all the seasons but imagine waiting a year for the next szn omg loll Def will miss Yang moving forward tho loll Great reaction trav ur genuine stress of missing that fact that she went to the mall had me weak😭 ik u we’re thinking she was prolly dead😭

this is one of my favorite series finales, i love Cristina and was sad she left but this was such a great sendoff for this character given how almost all the other characters who left have died with the exception of Burke and Izzie. i thought it was the perfect sendoff for her, especially the dance and the her speech to Meredith. i loved her moment with Alex too, and like you i didn’t think her and Owen were right together so i liked their goodbye too, simple but poignant.

I was watching while being next to my sleeping son (without headphones) and I am just happy I got up and left the room seconds before the "That's your dad" scream lmao Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I was quite neutral towards Shane at the end, so I was surprised about him leaving too. But somehow it felt right that he went with Cristina. So, we have three people leaving at the same time!? Okay ...
