Ah Dermot Mulroney, I've watched him in SO many romcoms over the years lol. An icon. 👑 And I'm glad you picked up on Nick and Jess' chemistry. It's so crazy. I've been listening to the New Girl podcast and about this episode the cast said that the writers were worried that Zooey and Jake's chemistry was taking away from the storyline with Dermot's character too much but it ended up working really well. Nick telling Jess to go out with Russell shows what a selfless and good guy he is, money problems aside. 😂
