You’re right about the one from back in the day. It had Mark Wahlberg. But they had ones from the 60s and 70s and the apes didn’t look real 😭🤣

I'm so glad you enjoyed this!! You're in for a wild ride with this franchise, for me it's one of the best and sadly doesn't get mentioned enough when discussing franchises. This one is really good, but Dawn and War in my opinion are masterpieces and I can't wait for those two!! The motion capture is very well done and it gets even better with the other films. Keep in mind, those are people playing those roles and isn't just CGI. Andy Serkis played Ceaser, who you would remember as Gollum from Lord Of The Rings and he also did the motion capture for the King Kong remake. He actually has his own production company that's all about motion capture. And also, you did miss an ending credit scene, it's at the very end and it is important, so I would definitely check it out.

I was actually going to request these movies at some point in the future, but Lee-Anne beat me to the punch lol. Draco Malfoy got what was coming to him! There's something that's very emotionally resonant with these movies starting with this one. There were 5 movies in the '60s and '70s, and the Mark Wahlberg one in 2001 that came before this particular batch of movies. I look forward to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes if Lee-Anne has sponsored that already

Lee-anne

Yep, done the lot :)
