I just gotta say the lengths they went through to not show Superman is kinda hilarious looking back on it. He is always so conveniently unavailable and it didn’t even make much sense in this episode lol. I kinda get why they did it but I still find it hilarious.

Fun fact: Supergirl was originally on CBS and it got cancelled after season 1 until The CW decided to pick it up and it became officially a part of the Arrowverse! 😊

This season finale really is clever. When I first watched this, after they got through to Alex so easily and resolved the Myriad mind control at the start of the episode with hope I was like "nice moment but is that it?" lol. But then suddenly they introduce the Myriad wave that's going to blow up everyone's heads and it immediately went from a mediocre finale to a brilliant one. Loved the twist. J'onn killing Indigo by ripping her in half was brutally hilarious lol and that whole scene of Kara taking Fort Rozz into space was BEAUTIFUL!! The special effects looked so good and I agree that the music really added to it. And I loved the scene between Kara and Cat where Cat promoted her and FINALLY got her name right. It shows that throughout the season she's earned Cat's respect. And also at the start of the season Kara struggled to do the hero thing, even small saves she was getting wrong. And now she's saved the entire world on her own. Of all the first seasons of these shows, Kara had the biggest journey and it was very well done. And I appreciate the way that this show is all about female empowerment. It's not just Kara saving the world on her own but it's the smaller things like the President being a woman and Max calling God "she" and all of these little things which together make this the show with the most girl power vibes I've ever seen. I'm buzzing for season 2!! I know it'll be a while away but I know it'll be worth the wait. The cliffhanger is mean though lol, looking it up they did already know that the show had been picked up by The CW before the finale aired which is why the cliffhanger was in there. Apparently they had a version of this finale without the cliffhanger included which they would've aired if the show had been cancelled. And I agree that ending the show on that sweet scene with all the characters having champagne would've worked quite well, they definitely wrote this episode with the possibility of cancellation in their minds. But thankfully it continued so I'm looking forward to seeing what you think as the show moves forward. 😊
