Holy hell 😱 Dr. King was basically the only lens I could take in any of that chaos through because my hypersensitive ass was STRESSED trying to handle all that was happening this ep even as just a viewer … you’d probably find me hiding in a closet somewhere under a weighted blanket 🧠🤯😅

Apparently this was modeled after the staff that took care of the Las Vegas mass shooting. I hope the colored slap bracelets become a real thing in ERs. Many doctors that reacted to the show thought they were a great idea

In an interview Noah Wyle said that they got approached by several hospitals that are working on implementing the slap bracelets. The creators thought of them as a quick and very visual way for the audience to understand what's happening and snap of the bracelet really helped to underline the urgency. They didn't think they were creating an actual thing that might help in real cases. It's awesome how that works sometimes

And that is how you get 15 episodes out of a 12 hour shift! This episode is bonkers (in a good way). They really illustrate the chaos of that situation and how quickly it becomes overwhelming, but also how good preperation can organize that chaos. I'm always surprised when this episode is over cause that did not feel like 40 minutes!

I've seen triage tags used in coverage of incidents before, but the bracelets are less likely to fall off or interfere with treatment. Brilliant idea!

What's with these 5 minute episodes? I was shocked when it ended!
