So Jay Garrick in the comics was actually THE FIRST Flash. Barry Allen came later so while it may seem cheesy, the hat is a nod to the history of DC Comics

Such a good season finale. That moment between Barry and Iris when they confess their love and kiss is SO beautiful, one of my favourite scenes in the whole Arrowverse. The way the light shines in the middle of them is so gorgeous. 😍 As for the sound in the big fight scene, you're right. It's not just you. The sound is really off and I've said the same thing for years. I still have no idea why, it's frustrating and ruins the scene a little bit. And tbh the race itself and the end of Zoom was a bit anti climactic. I liked Barry making his own time remnant, that's clever. But does that mean he was faking being so angry that he couldn't think rationally for the entire episode to throw everyone off? Or did he suddenly think of that idea out of nowhere? And why didn't he tell the team what he was doing? None of it felt quite right. And I still don't understand the whole time remnant thing myself lol. Plus Zoom being taken away by the Speed Force's Time Wraiths again just felt a bit meh, either Zoom should've been killed or they could've found some way to punish him that wasn't just bringing those in to pick him up. But those are just little niggles and overall I do enjoy this episode. The reveal of the guy in the mask being the real Jay Garrick who's a doppelganger of Barry's dad was great, never predicted that the first time I watched. And that cliffhanger is BRILLIANT!! Really leaves you wanting more and wondering what it means now Barry's saved his mom. Well you'll see next season. 👀

The strange sound you are hearing during the final fight maybe the music because it is a mashup of the Flash theme song, the justice league theme song, and the 90s flash theme song as well as all of the theme songs of the other arrowverse shows that Zoom has been on.

Jay Garrick was the first flash, the actor playing him was the original flash in the 90s tv show. Jay in the comics has the silver helmet with the bolts on it, this is his modernized classic suit.

Also if you love the arrowverse so much you should check out young justice. It shows the true depths of every character

Also also watching the flashpoint movie will truly give context to everything. Completely different in story but show the aspects better than anything else

The fact that they’ve been thru as much as they have & nobody but WALLY who found out Barry was the flash 2 secs ago, has faith in him……like???? Wtf? And a lot of Barry stans love to blame Iris for this but it was ultimately a group decision. They all suck (except Barry & Wally) in this situation. But she (Candice/Iris) got a lot of flack from fans who were already racist & from fans who didn’t realize they were. Watching this season again…I just have to say, Candice Patton(Iris) & Grant Gustin ARE Barry Allen & Iris West. Like wow. And I read the comics growing up. Also….Danielle/Caitlyn is wrong as hell for using her trauma to try to convince Barry to not do shit. Like girl…you saw your man fly up into a vacuum….I saw my mom stabbed to death when I JUST hit double digits & a psychopath vibrated my father’s heart to death in the same house & spot that my mom was murdered in, like 20 yrs later……we are NOT the same!

im pretty sure he thought about the time-remenant at the last second. i dont think he was always planning on doing it. like as much as i hated everyone locking Barry up, they were right about the fact that Barry was too angry at the moment to race Zoom and that if he was just focused on his anger, he would have lost.
