As a survivor, this is very hard to watch. But also very healing at the same time. It reminds me I’m not alone. My situation may be different but it’s also the same. Sometimes it’s a random stranger and sometimes it’s someone you trust most in the world. To all my fellow survivors, you are not alone and if you want or need to talk, I am here. 💕

The hallway scene they used all the actual women in the show from the writers room, the assistants and PAs. Basically all the women who worked backstage wanted to be in this scene and they all did it for no pay. They only had an hour to film this scene due to time constraints with the backstage workers needed elsewhere and they had to have dance breaks in between filming because so many people would start crying during the filming and they weren't supposed to know why they were standing there, just that they needed to support another woman. And some people complained about this scene because they felt like it was weird and controversial to put a rape victim on display negating her privacy which is why they had Khadri mention to Meredith that they just needed to be there to support a patient and they still had a lot of backlash after the episode aired from other rape survivors about how this would have backfired completely if this had been a case for them.
