Domo

Robbie was referring to end of life care/hospice care at the end there. Sometimes death is the better outcome instead of prolonged pain with no chance of recovery

margarita rash is nasty but absoluetly preventable. Just make sure you don't prepare anything with fresh citrus fruits in the direct sunlight, and after working with citrus always wash exposed skin before going outside. It's a reaction of the lime juice with UV light, so as long as you make sure they don't mix you'll be fine ;)

We are kinder to animals than people, honestly.... which is why some states now have assisted s*icide laws for terminal patients. If you know you are terminal, do you need to spend your last few months in intense pain or constantly doped on opioids? When quality of life is so bad and no chance of recovery, death can be the kinder option. My mom had Parkinson's and if there was a way to spare her the final six months of pain, I would have. But, my state requires a patient to undergo a cognitive test and be within 12 months of death. People with neuro diseases aren't found competent to make the decision by the time they are ready for hospice. I believe that to be a flaw in the system, honestly. They should be able to make the decision when still deemed competent and set out a list of symptoms and quality of life things that allows their medical POA to agree to their pre-signed decision at a certain point. My mom asked me to help her die, 17 months before she actually passed. But, I couldn't, because of the law. And she only had some days at that point where she might be considered competent. So, she suffered another 17 months, which helped no one and made her and the family miserable and sad.... waiting for the end is horrible. It is like everyone's life just goes on hold. Ok, getting off my soap box now!

I'm a nurse and this is the first time I hearing of this so I had to look it up after watching this and some of the pictures are just as bad as the patient here which is crazy to me!!!! Good thing I am not a fan of limes and Margarita's.

Yeah, I believe it's incredibly rare that it happens, but if it does it's nasty! I don't quite remember how I stumbled upon it. I think there was a similar case on another show once (911 maybe?) and I wanted to look up if it's plausible and went on a Google rabbit hole... It's unlikely to happen to me, cause my stomach can't handle citrus and my skin can't handle sun ;) but still: new fear unlocked!

Jtozee's Reaction's

My tongue is pierced but that tongue injury made me queasy
