Thank you Ilsuk for bringing it to Travis' orbit :) And thank you Travis for brilliant reaction. Amaze, amaze, amaze! Read a book few years ago, but was not in love with book. LOVED the movie. I know that she is like 4th least important element of it behind Grace, Rocky and SCIENCE! but Sandra Hüller is in the movie for 20 minutes, and I would die for Eva Stratt in a heartbeat. I do not think I felt so in love with a fictional character in a long time.

Oh, you know I had to request this movie after seeing it in theaters lol

I love this movie! It's tied for my favorite movie of the year so far, with The Furious for very, very different reasons lol. Like you, I had no idea what this movie was about before watching it, except for the fact that it had something to do with space. I definitely wasn't expecting to fall in love with a rock-like extraterrestrial. Also, now that you've seen this movie, we definitely gotta get the Rocky movies on the docket lol. So, if anyone wants to take care of that, I'd appreciate it 😉 Fun fact: Stratt wasn't originally going to sing in the movie, but Ryan Gosling overheard Sandra Huller singing when they weren't shooting and he asked her to sing in the movie, and, well, you've seen the result. Olesya Ilyukhina, the Russian astronaut that wanted to die via "a lethal injection with a bit of heroin," is played by Milana Vayntrub, who you've seen in This Is Us (you may have seen her in some older T-Mobile commercials, too). The book explains that her character wanted to die that way because she had never tried drugs before and wanted to see what it felt like. I saw this in theaters twice, one of those times in IMAX and it is absolutely gorgeous in IMAX! Glad you enjoyed the movie!

I'm a little late watching this. I wanted to finish the book first and then have a couple weeks in-between. This is a really good adaption of the book, which I loved. The movie is fantastic!!
