Death Lego

A modern form of the term squib is a small electrical explosive device used in the TV and film industry. Specifically to simulate bullet wounds for example. The word originates from small fireworks that that fizzed and popped. A damp squib falls short of expections because it fails to go off at all. Colloquially, a thing that never was expected to be anything impressive, fails to even be that. The whole thing is a bit pointless and a complete waste of time. They were making fun of the fact that it is often miss quoted. Because like yourself, people don't really know what it means. Miss hear and try to repeat it.
