IMPO; Blake just doesn’t fit well with the team. They made her too serious like Hotch and they gave her a professional background too similar to Reid’s. Emily fit in well & quickly with the team when she first join. There was this fun; loving; playful banter between Emily, JJ, Reid, Morgan & Garcia. Blake comes off as too closed-off; too serious. and dry like Travis said. This episode is the 1st time they’re showing her as less serious & gave her a personality. She isn’t a bad character but I just think she doesn’t mesh well with the group 🤷🏽‍♀️

I personally disagree. When Emily was introduced she had the benefit of replacing a character I was meh about during season 1 and absolutely disliked in her few episode os S2, but it still took me half a season to actually like her character and then grew to love her. Blake had the disadvantage to take over for a character we all adored. I personally was intruiged by her earlier than Travis (possibly mainly because Spencer relates to her so much, but I do like her different approach). But to me it makes sense that it takes nearly a season for people to bond to her, especially since we didn't get Blake focused episodes. I also was on the fence with Rossi until we got his episode midway season 3... So in my opinion Blake actually fits quite well in the team providing a different dynamic than Prentiss - being less of a sister figure, but more of an aunt/mentor (especially to Reid) - but the writers made the mistake not to give her a Blake-focused episode until this moment...

Well we can agree to disagree! My opinion on Blake remains the same. As a replacement for Prentiss; so far Blake just hasn’t quite fill the void or build the camaraderie Emily had with JJ, Morgan, Reid & Garcia.
