Love Bombing is a real thing, but it's been years since I've seen this show, so I don't remember if that's what ends up happening here or not. Love bombing is when someone disproportionately overwhelms you with affection as a means of manipulation. It can be part of a toxic relationship.

It was always crazy to me that they literally had Jamie IN the slideshow about Total Football, and not one of the coaches or players bothered to ask him what he learned about it from Pep himself!! They knew he trained directly in that style of play, and never bothered to consult him. He had to confront them about it halfway through the game instead. Come on fellas, gotta be more curious ;)
