yeah this episode always gets me. That whole last sequence (O Helga Natt/Oh Holy Night) ended up winning the 'Best TV Moment of the Year'.

Aw I’m so glad you felt the impact of this ep- so beautifully done! I like that you picked up on the not even showing the parents’ faces cause I also think that was cool. The camera this whole ep was basically just on Isak pretty close up to really see what he’s going through. And I LOVE that it’s Magnus who ends up being wise like you said and changing the way Isak was thinking about mental illness and whether Even’s feelings for him were even real. I mentioned it after the ep with the pool scene too but the whole church sequence was another callback to the Romeo & Juliet film with the imagery and style. And story wise too because apparently after reading about mania and that it’s followed by depression in someone who’s bipolar, and then reading Even’s text about being alone, Isak was worried about his mental state and whether he might hurt himself. Hence the “you are not alone” 😥 Such a gorgeous scene!

Oh also I giggled when you noticed “slut” meaning “stop” 🤭 I know from my Swedish Duolingo that it’s pronounced more like “sloot” I believe lol
