Sylvester Stallone was actually in every Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but he was barely in each one lol. My favorite of the Guardians trilogy is the first one as it had the best balance of action, humor, and heartfelt elements. I like the second one and this one about the same for different reasons. I think the second one had better humor, but this one had the more emotional story. Where each Guardians movie falls short are the villains. People seem to really like the High Evolutionary as a villain, but he didn't do it for me. I feel like with every James Gunn villain, they always have one of 2 modes: incredibly calm, then, all of a sudden, very yell-y and intense. There's literally no in-between and that just doesn't work for me. Every other aspect of the Guardians movies works for me, although, I will say that the humor in this movie is easily the weakest in the trilogy.
