Before he was Captain Cold, he was a structural engineer trying to get his brother (Mick, Legends of Tomorrow) out of prison, much to the chagrin of his lawyer (Teresa Lisbon, The Mentalist), while pretending to be a diabetic with the help of his new friend (Michael Grant, 911) so that his new doctor (Lori Grimes, The Walking Dead) won't be suspicious of his low blood glucose levels from the insulin shots. Oh, and his sister-in-law is Teri Schuster from Glee and Meredith Gordon from Heroes. Diabetics (if they need it) can take anywhere between 1-4 or 5 insulin shots per day depending on their treatment plan. If a nondiabetic (or a diabetic who takes too high a dose) takes an insulin shot, they can go into hypoglycemic shock if it isn't dealt with in a timely matter. They'd need to take something with a lot of sugar, like juice, to counteract the hypoglycemia.
