This is one of the best finales I’ve ever seen. The Believe sign scene where they all pull out their pieces is my all time favorite. Jamie having his in the book from Season 1 and Colin having his in his shin guard is the best. The only thing I like about Nate, by the end, is for is doing the Kintsugi repair job on the Believe sign. And Roy putting up Phoebe’s breast artwork in the office but adding Ted’s masking tape to make it more modest was also so good on many different levels.

I was waiting for the whole season for that scene with the pieces of the Believe sign. This moment is just so perfect. And I'm not sure if I should say it, and probably many people if not everyone will disagree, but I spent all season being mad at Nate for what he put Ted through and being a complete dick for a long time. And I still melted on the apology scene and everything after. That doesn't make what he did okay of course. I just didn't have it in me after the finale. That's also the power of Ted Lasso for me. Or maybe I'm too soft. I almost didn't survive that finale. This show gets me emotional even though I've already seen it. But your reaction on top of it was perfect. Loved it. See you on the next one.

I have fully understood your rage against Nate this season. I hated Nate when I first saw this season. And then, this finale aired, and I watched Nate return happily to Richmond as the assistant to his original job and sincerely apologise to Ted, and I finally understood the point of his story. We've all been Nate at some point, so blinded by our own insecurities that we've been the bad guy in other people's lives. And most of the time, we never get a chance to make it right later on. Nate sucked because he was so human in how he behaved, and it was so cathartic to see him come back and try to be better, whether or not he deserved the chance.

True though I think they were going for Darth Vader, especially coupled with his Death Star designed office

There’s something so special about ugly-crying alongside a past-version of someone else experiencing something you love for the first time. So glad to share this with you Travis, excited for season 4!

To me, this is the true finale to the show. I haven't watched season 4, mostly because I don't want to pay for Apple +, but, even if I did have that subscription, I don't know if I would watch watch it (who am I kidding, I would totally watch it 😂😂😂). Still, this is a perfect series finale, and I'm still a little bummed that they decided to bring the show back. If you have the perfect ending, let it be the perfect ending

I agree with all this. Think you said it well. I still feel like the turnaround was just too abrupt for me, especially considering how much they took their time on the other end showing him kinda slowly get overtaken by the effects of his insecurity. I agree in this ep he showed a lot of remorse and humility and it was all pretty satisfying to see. I’m just not sure I really understand what got him there. Rupert being rude about his gf was the straw that broke the camel’s back? Not sure I get that fully

It wasn't so much about his attitude towards Jade but the fact he saw Rupert for what he really was when he was a sexist pig in public and whoring out women for a fun time. And in that moment he realized what path he was on under the influence of Rupert compared to what he could have been if he stayed with Ted and just talked to him. And I've been there myself, getting so enamored with a promotion I've always wanted that I failed to realize that where I was isn't necessarily as bad as where I ended up until I did I am a bit disappointed that Nate and Trent didn't share a moment together, as Nate was indirectly responsible for Trent losing his journalism career.
