This was a fun reaction. Cheyenne Jackson as Hades is my favourite part of the movie, he's FANTASTIC!! The music really is great and the story is done well. This is probably my least favourite of the first 3, I feel like it drags a bit in places. But it's still really good. It's interesting how you thought there was a romantic spark between Jay and Gil (Gaston's son) because that wasn't the intention. Originally there was supposed to be a romance between Jay and Harry Hook, I feel like you can see that in moments, especially when Harry calls him "gorgeous face" lol. They even filmed a kiss between Jay and Harry but it was cut due to Disney saying no, unfortunately even now gay characters in family movies are controversial which sucks. So what they did is had Harry flirting with everyone, girls and guys, but more with the girls. So he's bi in an "acceptable" way. 🙄 But this movie was before the times of HSMTMTS which really changed things for Disney in terms of LGBT+ inclusion and now things are better, could still be improved, but better. As for Cameron Boyce, he actually passed away before the premiere of this movie. So he never even got to see it which makes this more sad to watch. The original plan was to have 6 movies with this cast but after Cameron passed the others didn't want to continue. So from Descendants 4 onwards it's an entirely new cast, new story and new location. A couple of the original cast members show up in the next movies but none of the original quartet. They gave their blessing for the franchise to continue because it's what Cameron would've wanted, but they just couldn't come back which I fully understand and respect. But the next era of Descendants is fantastic and they do a lovely tribute to Cameron as well. So I hope I'll be able to sponsor those for you at some point. 🤞 And I'm glad you enjoyed this. 😊
