ANGELA

I wish the nurse would have been more helpful (of course, I love nurses) - the girl might have opened up to a lady instead. Great reaction!

Shin

Yeah it sucks so much that nobody believed Deluca, even though I get why they didn't. Loved your reaction. See you on the next one.

all i now about the healthcare in ireland is it has a two tier system including support scehemes, in the UK we have the NHS (national health service) which we basically pay for through taxes, and you qualify if you're a resident (you do have to pay for some stuff, but rarely) for example we dont pay for ambulances, im led to belive that in the US you do ?

Jaci

I think they really missed the mark with this storyline. They had a chance to really highlight signs to look out for in a medical setting for trafficking and ways to handle it. I get why they had reservations believing Deluca but there’s no world where Meredith wouldn’t at the very least question what he was saying was true before letting them leave.

Jahnae Phillip

Not one person believing Deluca was just irritating!! He has been right about so many things as of lately and people have just been undermining what he says. I see why on some level, but at the same time, this was a crazy situation!

In the US it’s basically the more you pay monthly for your premium, the better plan you have and therefore copays (dr visits, ER visits, ambulance, etc) are usually less. Neither my husband nor I get covered through our jobs so we have state insurance. I currently pay about $500/month for my family of 3 (this is with nearly $500/month in tax credits). A dr visit is $100. Specialist is $180 and my regular dr has to write a referral for any specialist. ER is $1000 copay. Ambulance is $250. Dental and vision are an extra $50/month each. And I’ll add that we are all mostly healthy (knock on wood) so we don’t really have to worry about specialist visits or meds but insurance companies also don’t want to cover anything and will fight people on approving life saving procedures and drugs. The US “healthcare” system is the biggest scam ever.
