Schmidt not taking accountability is so damn annoying. It isn’t nick and Jess’ fault! It’s completely Schmidt’s own fault and a result of his actions

Oh yeah, every time I watch these episodes, Schmidt makes me so mad

"You know what'd be nuts, if I brought my cat Ferguson as a date" (typed this in as Travis guessed Winston would invite the cat)

Courtney

Yeah Schmidt being selfish and irresponsible with both women's feelings. Couldn't stand him the past few episodes. Nick and Jess are too cute together. Winston and his relationship with Ferguson is something special lol

Courtney

Someone pointed out on Instagram that Nick says " what do you mean" a different way each time he says it in his conversation with Schmidt.

Poor Winston indeed. And Nick and Jess confessing weird things to each other in the end cracked me up. I'm not gonna talk about that annoying storyline though. Loved your reaction. See you on the next one.

Siobhan Linehan

This Schmidt storyline was SO controversial. I've been back and forth on it myself over the years. But on the New Girl podcast Hannah, who plays Cece, said that while she hated this version of Schmidt it does make sense. He didn't date anyone until college when he met Elizabeth because of the insecurities about his weight, he then lost weight and started dating woman after woman after woman. If you look back on season 1 before he fell for Cece he was basically the Joey of the group lol. And then suddenly Cece wanted him and Elizabeth was back and also wanted him and he just completely freaked out because he genuinely did love both of them. Of course what he did was really wrong, he should've been honest about how he was feeling. But this situation does track for the character. The only part of the storyline I hated was him blaming Nick and Jess. They were good friends to him the whole time and they gave him more than one opportunity to be honest with Cece. So for Schmidt to then blame them rather than himself and to say he was going to try to break them up was SO shitty and didn't make much sense. The episode is hilarious though. Winston is insane but in a good way lol and Nick & Jess crack me up with their cute bickering. 😂😂

We shall 💜 Schmidt and Winston are my favorite characters. Intro

Nick always kisses Jess like he’s trying to suck out her soul, and I mean that in a good way.
