I love this episode. I'm glad that we learned about something Rossi did as a scared kid (remember that the kid he hurt was the only one smaller than him). He was growing up in an incredibly turbulent time. When I started kindergarten in 1975, I was living in Virginia Beach. My best friend was Shawn, who lived across the street and happened to be Black. My parents and his parents were really good friends. First day of kindergarten, the teacher tried to make us sit at different tables, because we were both nervous and holding hands. We both went home crying and the next day both sets of parents were in the principal's office. I don't know what they said, but Shawn and I sat at the same table all year. Virginia fought the desegregation laws for years, until the Supreme Court ruled that they were breaking the law by continuing to segregate..... and even now, at 56, I am still mad at that teacher.

That was definitely a tough one, especially when it showed what happened to the man all those years ago. I couldn't imagine living in that time either, as a white woman or a black. I love everyone, no matter who they are, what color or race they are and watching what they did to him made my blood boil over as I bawled my eyes out, so I know his rage was so much more. It sickens me because I know that kind of stuff happened at all.
