V0.17.08 (April 22, 2026)

New game content (quests/writing/art/etc):

- Added Lady Tristinia custom artwork for Sword in the Grass quest. Art is by GlobbinArts

- Added Aros Starchime's first companion quest, In the Hoofsteps of a Legend. Recommended minimum player level is 8

-- This can be started when:

--- Journey into the Ashes and First The Rising Star quests are completed

--- Aros is in the party

--- Aros is in base form, OR his transformation is weak and the party has at least potion of restore body,

--- The player has 10 or more relationship with Aros

- Added Enlistee Smola Fortun, a dwarf Runesmith recruitable in the Ice Roads

Miscellaneous:

- Alchemy shelves found in the greenlands now only stock ingredients from the greenlands. They will also no longer stock ingredients used for cooking meals

- The Traveling Fawn Alchemist greenlands random event now only sells non-food greenlands ingredients

- Renamed "Abundant Waters" resource nodes to "Freshwater Fishing Spot" and "Saltwater Fishing Spot" to better distingiush them from the "Abundant" modifier, which indicates a higher than average yield of resources

- Instead of Dagger Swipe, Satyr Revelers now have the Spear Thrust and Long Spear Thrust combat abilities. They keep the Spear Dance combat combaility

- The Satyr Wardancer Spear equippable weapon now gives the Spear Thrust (but not the Long Spear Thrust) combat ability, in addition to Spear Dance

- Added transformation potions for the four dark elf pirate forms: Swasbuckler, Pistoleer, Sharpshooter, and Seadog

-- These can be purchased from the Disguise Potionseller merchant in southern Giusburg Outskirts

- Changed some map icons in Whitetail Watch to better represent the service provided

- Removed some animated points of interest map markers that made the yellow stars flash different colors

- Jump animations are now 1.5x faster

- Implemented special map rule to conditionally block companion transformations

-- Willow can no longer be transformed in the Blackhat Grotto while Willow at the Window quest is open

-- Aros cannot be transformed in the Dragonsbreath Cave while In the Footsteps of a Legend quest is open

- Added some variants for Transformation Potion Chests and Alchemy Shelves that specifically stock Ice Road-exclusive content

- Similarly, greenland transformation potion chests and alchemy shelves should no longer stock Ice Roads content

- Added Potion Cabinet and Well-Stocked Potion Cabinet loot containers. These yield potions that grant users status effects

-- These have been sprinkled around various maps throughout the world

Cheat/Debug controls (patreon-backer builds only):

- Added a "Remove companion" button on party debug panel. If that companion has ever been discovered, and is in the party, they will be removed
