🦁 that green is just 🤌 superb!

mclargehuge

Thanks for the video. Its amazing to see the progression and build up of reflections across the varied surfaces. You mentioned about the importance of glazing in elevating the finish of high quality pieces. I was wondering if you had plans to work on a technique/tips video specifically about glazing? Like making the glaze, loading the brush, unloading the excess, knowing when its ready to apply, application etc? I am working on my first ever competition piece at the moment and your videos have been a huge inspiration and learning tool for my progress!

GreysWorld

Hello There!! Many many thanks for this video! I do have a question. If I want to do the armor in a lesser green way. (More Black with green hint like in the book) what would you recommend ?

infernalbrush

Just don't take the first 2 highlights as far, the caliban and corvus stage

GreysWorld

Ok thanks! I'll try it out

infernalbrush

Thank you. Yep a specific video on blending will actually be on the way very soon. I have 2 videos in the queue before it but both are pretty quick ones.

You know I’ve been looking forward to this! Excellent delivery. Can’t wait to have a go!!

I’ve waited so long to go see this!! This is gonna be a great watch. I’m starting dark angels for both 40K and 30k, and I know this is going to be a massive help, along with your other tutorials. Will you or have you done the fw lion el Jonson or a fallen/30k era dark Angel ? Would be great to learn more from you as your pretty much my inspiration to upping my painting game 😁 keep up the amazing work Dave !! 😁

Vandrake_Minis

They should have hired you to paint the box art haha

rhys vokes

this is great news, ! i find daves vids a massive inspiration, at pushing myself, and little bits of info like that will help!

Man's so posh

Looking forward to seeing how you also fill in the gaps as it's painted sup assembled 👌

Dan

Those smooth clean transitions...nice.

Deathcubea (Ally)

Finally got round to watching this. Absolutely amazing work. These tutorials get better and better every time I see them. Can really see the way you handle the brush, the paint and the explanations get much more in depth. So helpful this video

Pablo Garcia Salinas

First of all, thank you very much for the level of detail in the tutorials, you really do an inspiring job. I would like to try this same process and colours with a dark eldar and I have some doubts. Adding Rakarth and Karak to the mix to it is to give it more warmth tone? If I wanted to give it a cooler finish what colour should I use? I would like to add a purple hue to the darker areas. Should I add a purple colour to the initial black mix and go from there? Or is it better to use glazes on the darker areas to change the hue? Thanks again!

infernalbrush

Hello, and thank you! It really depends on how subtle you want the effect to be. We do have a complete recipe for Dark Eldar armour on the 'Eavy Archive here: https://eavy-archive.com/40k/drukhari/#kabal-of-the-Black-heart229 which might be helpful. If you wanted to add a purple hue to the shading I would say it might be best to glaze the shadows with something like Naggaroth/Xereus purple. You can slowly build up the glazes to get the desired amount. I hope this helps, best of luck with your painting!

Elliot Newman

This is super exciting to slowly see a masterpiece would you say this is the same approach to paint the inner circle companions ?

Matias Oteiza

wow its incredible!! a little late, but I´m with my Lion following your tips!
