It's a very dialogue light entry today, but it's no less significant as Violet bursts into acrobatic action: sprinting towards the food court and leaping high into the air to land gracefully on someone's lunch. Even without the armour she's a force to be reckoned with, as this display of athletic prowess truly showcases.

It's also showcasing one or two other things, but let's just keep that to ourselves for now. Let the villainess have her moment.

The first and third panels on this page were done, as the French say, avec reference. I have accumulated a rather large collection of "reference material" for these stories. (There are some who would say that it's just a big folder full of "Ts" and "As", but they just don't know about the creative process) I usually don't use them that much, so when I have a page where I can use a reference I feel like collecting all the images has been justified. Sort of.

The second and fourth panels kind of use reference, but only in an indirect way. I was having trouble getting Violet's mouth right in panel two, so I hit up Pinterest for some 3/4 face action. The position and angle of the right leg for the superhero landing there has always been one that I struggle with, but this time I found a leg reference that worked pretty well with only some minor adjustment. I think it turned out pretty okay, all things considered.

You don't have to justify your source material. I think when it comes to comic creation, you and I have the same inspiration. You just keep doing what you do because the results are fantastic!

Dairy Princess! Moo.

Thank you! 😊 I think my inspiration is mostly expanding on ENF themes that I was exposed to through various movies in the 70s and 80s when you could count on at least one ENF or ENF related bit in most comedies and many action and science fiction movies. Hell, serious dramas even had it sometimes 😄 And don't worry, I'm not justifying my art process. Some members expressed an interest in more "behind the scenes" stuff, so I'm pulling the curtain back a bit...just a bit, though. It's drafty. 😄

Thanks! Violet has some great buns, and I think they're even better in action!

I think those decades were prime time for that because they were made more to poke fun at the rules that were in place at the time. Even back in the days where censorship was expansive, think of Bewitched and how they had to make the watcher see the embarrassing event for themselves in their heads. Then you get to the '70s and '80s and filmmakers are pushing the envelope on those same restrictions. By the time we reach the'90s and early 2000s the gloves are off. Either way I would love to see that kind of storytelling come back. I would actually love to see a movie where my particular artifice is the central theme. Or it's like the major character reveal at the end. It's in Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging when Lindsay is revealed to be stuffing her bra with cutlets, but they ruined that grand reveal when they had the girls spy on her through her open bedroom balcony door. I think it would better had they done the scene without showing us what they saw through those binoculars and using it to explain how they knew at the movie

I had to look it up because it's a ways after my time, but I do get what you're saying about blowing the reveal. That's why I like to keep my characters covered until the ENF actually happens. I hate it when stories show them changing or taking a shower before the big moment. It's like peeking at your Christmas presents, it ruins the surprise
