Hello!

Mild spoilers, but I hope you see it as worth it.

Tala will be returning to the Arcane lands in the near future, and I am asking for your desires for her return. (Please comment below.)

Outside of that we kinda got left dry with the bonus from the eskeaus with the news of tala closure on each would be nice. maybe meet up with some of the candidates she beat if any of them lived too? ooh yeah someone mentioned the bakery thats a great one. Thron of course but he is off in lands depending on where they go it may not make sense yet. Id like tonsee her explain to the city lord she has become a city lord in her own way too.

A lot of people are saying Thron, but I think his and Tala's reunion would be better saved for something like the (Reforged) Sappherouses acting as diplomats once skynet has been found. Like, if the arcane cities weren't enough, maybe the human cities would look for allies on the other continent and the Sappherouses volunteer to go.

First of all, obviously Thron. He may not be physically present since he's in another continent, but at least getting messages going or somehow reestablishing contact. I'm guessing Meallain will be coming back into focus after the backseat she's taken for the last little while now, but I want to see Tala actually talk with higher ups like the City Lords and heads of Major Houses. If not as an equal, then at least as a recognized collaborator so they're not just like, "lol you're too weak to be told any real deeper truths; go struggle in a corner" like before. If the Black Legion is confirmed and humanity and arcanes start actually collaborating, I'd want to see things from the perspectives of people other than just Tala. Show me how Xeel talks with the City Lords about a plan for when the Legion attempts a strike on a city, human or arcane. Show me how Holly and the foremost arcane researchers learn from each other when it comes to natural magics vs human inscriptions. Show me how the Constructionists Guild or Culinary Guild and their arcane equivalents are working with each other. Let's go back and let Tala have another look at the World Fragment now that she's got threefold sight. Maybe with her accumulated experience and higher level of power, she might glean new insights. Let's go back and get some food from the Cthulu-run bakery. Let's also reconnect with Tala's old sparring partners and other mentors. Oh, I also REALLY want to see a number of new arcane cities, not just Platoiri and the other one (I know the name starts with a C but I just can't remember it right now - the one where we saw the World Fragment and was basically the HQ for the House of Blood). Maybe let's talk with people who might have knowledge of some of the cell prisoners Tala has fought over the years and add more context into their stories. How will the various races who aren't as combat focused (fox-kin and other races that haven't gotten as much attention) react when the Black Legion is indeed confirmed to be coming? How will it affect the Leshkin Wars? Will Anatalis make a move? If he does, will he be more concerned about the Leshkin or the Legion? Will the Legion be such a large threat that even the Leshkin might help against them? What about all the other Sovereigns? Is it possible that the Legion reemerging could get some of them to actually help, since they're still all very much on the side of magic when it comes to Magic vs Reality, and so the Legion would naturally oppose them anyway? There are way too many things, sorry. I can easily go on for several more posts.

I'd like to see Tala/humans maybe discover something in the arcane lands that was overlooked by the arcanes due to their assumptions/arrogance/etc. - show value in humans beyond them as power sources

I want to see Tala beat down a house (not Blood) in its entirety when the get uppity about her being an human Eskau or about Lea being an automaton abomination (their words not mine)

I would expect some interesting reactions to her more unusual residents (multiple cell-worthy dangers plus many fox-kin) that would naturally be coming along and her relationship with them. A somewhat related possibility for potentially interesting reactions/interactions would be if Anatalis had reason to show his favor by sending a member of his pack to meet with her or even temporarily accompany her.

I want to see the city owner again, sry I can’t remember the rank name. Maybe some house of blood members too. Thron would be interesting but he’s somewhere else so I probably wouldn’t make sense. I think maybe the other eskau from the house of blood.

Not going to happen. That's not how the house of blood works. They don't apologize. They challenge u to a duel. You squash them, and they say "If you had been this strong back then, we would have been fools to try to capture u. Look how strong your trial made u! Kowtow in thankfulness, and I will honor your achievements in our ways!" That's their version of an apology in my head

From a magic-centric perspective, I'd be interested in the trip giving an opportunity to dig deeper into the consequences of her binding the dasgannach (particularly regarding reaching towards concept magic and/or new discoveries regarding the implications of her subsequent absorption of reality iron).

Eh, he was mostly interested in her because she was odd, and he liked toying with her. As far as I can remember, his only real goal was advancement, and his method is flawed.

If Tala is Reforged when she goes, then I’d like to see Kit try and take a bite out of the World Fragment(with or without permission) and integrate it like she saw in Vidara’s space.

Things I‘d like to see. A full out spar with Pallaun. A Conversation between Tala and the turtle, which helped her call for Terry. The house of blood teaching Tala the „save“ way to get to the Doman-Imithe. A visit to the baker. A visit to the center of the city with all the vestiges for Rane and Lea to see.

I'd like to see resolution about 20k founts in the middle of Platoiri. My preference is freeing them, killing the city lord and destroying the city, but maybe something else? The souls can leave anytime, but it doesn't mean Tala likes it.

I want to see her and Pallaun spar, her talk to the turtle eskau, meet the city lord again (it would be so funny to see him try and take another piece of her and fail). Tala and Lea should visit the bakery, maybe some kind of expedition to one of the rogue holds as a test for Lea as it was for Tala. it would be cool for Tala to encounter that potential pillar that she threatened during the raising fight, if he’s still around. I doubt we’d see any kind of resolution to the founts in the middle of the city, but maybe some kind of revelation? It would be cool if they could use the gate-breaking technology more, maybe give it to the constructionists? There is so much tech that the Arcanes have that they could benefit from. More than anything I want to see the general population of the city’s reaction to her. I’m imagining her wearing the house of blood insignia of her clothes again, walking down the street, all the citizens gaping at her.

Got an odd one: of her Eskau trainers, the one slippery Dragon/lizardfolk. Because she barely hurt him last time, and if he challenges her again she's gunna Smack him halfway across the city. And if De-Arg comes back, I want him to be deeply confused. Another of his perspective would be fantastic.

Would like to see Thron again and find out how he is getting along. Also, how much social tension are they in the Arcane Lands? How would Tala react to a representative of the lower class asking for her help in giving them more of a voice?

So my biggest request is for more lore. Not answers, but more setup, intrigue, and questions. We learned a bit about the world fragment and an overview of the domin illith, however it feels like we've gotten many of our answers to the world. There's the breaking, arcane and humanity relation, the old world, how gated humanity came to be, what magic is, .... Honestly as much as I'd love answers these past few arcs have felt like a victory arc after her time in the arcane lands. There's some carthritis and relief that's needed but the arcane lands are also a hotbed of politics, ancient information, and questionable morality. First, ideally we will get more goals, hidden truths, and the overall world/kingdoms as future plot points for her to have more plot lines to eventually uncover. Second I would like something Tala like to happen where she grows with power or knowledge due to some crisis that she overcomes that would be remarkable for anyone at her advancement level. Finally the reunion tour with the house if blood members, the baker and turtle, along with all the houses whispers about "that girl".

Lost&Found

I will be honest, I love this story but I feel like the Arcane lands was both incredibly interesting and a bit of a letdown at the same time. Compared to the Leshkin most Arcanes species felt too mundane to me. Differently colored people and beastkin felt a bit unimaginative. While we went really in depth on some topics there were also a lot of aspect that were only broached in the shallowest of ways. It does make sense considering Tala's position and the fact that she was trapped within the House of Blood but I feel like now is the time to delve more into Arcane society, politics and culture The other house are supposed to be fairly monoethnic or at the very least Monocultural. I want to see how Hue Folk differ from the Beastmen, the Elves, the Dwarves ... I want to see if they lean into certain practice or concept. I want to know if colors means something and if different races of beastmen have strange bestial feuds. I want to hear about strange practices within houses, customs and traditions that the house of blood no longer does because its backwards or simply old superstitions. Something to explain the dysfunctional of Arcane Society. Your worldbuilding has been consistently fantastic and I feel this is a great opportunity let it shine Other than that, I'd definitely like to see some spars and reaction to said spar from the other Eskau. Tala has been progressing quick and she won't be alone so she's bound to cause ripple and I always love a 3rd person glazing scene. I want to see a lot of people's reaction to the World Fragment. Not only the usual crew but also maybe some measurements and talk with other Archon about the nature of reality assuming that this would be in the cards. Maybe we could get to see another one of the lost holds in some capacity since that has never came up again.

Meeting thron again would be awsome but that one feels like it will obviously happen eventually. Meeting the city lord again for tea and a chat also showing a tamed mealain around the arcane cities could be fun, also the turtle man who helped tala find terry, that little scene is maybe my favorite in the entire series

I want to learn more about arcane birthing rituals. I feel like tala could act as a midwife or parent in a magical imprinting ritual she did herself instead of inside an arcane birthing chamber. She could probably take a low tier race baby from a family loyal to the house of blood and do the ritual herself and make them mid or high tier. Proving the house of blood right. That all babies are equal and their biases are unfounded. It seems like given Meallain's breakdown and freak out and banishment many house of blood pillars are not bought in yet

Inter house politics would be a great thing to see. Tali only saw the part where a rivalry resulted in violence, never the part where relationships deteriorated into a rivalry nor improved into an alliance. I wonder if Tala could form her own minor house that was an offshoot of the house of blood? Hmm.

I want so much. I want Eskau De-Arg, Pallaun (both training and him apologizing because from the previous book it seems he felt it was something that should happen, City Lord (and I would definitely love to see him and/or another City Lord get a lesson in underestimating humans, I want the dragonling that helped train here. Like others have said, the baker. I would be interested to see TALA as herself (not pretending to be Tali) interact as a true Eskau of House of Blood and them truly acknowledging her standing and worth (as seems would befit the underpinning of House of Blood). I would ADORE a good reunion/relationship between her and Thron, but this doesn’t necessarily mean it should or would happen in the arcane cities since he left them too. I am sad that Thron’s potential pillar (mind blanked for the minute) is gone. And I definitely want to enjoy Eskau Meallain basically showing off Tala (AND NOT giving up Tala’s secret about the power that resides in her sanctum - as Master Nadro points out - there are ever fools who will go to war for potential power. I’d also be interested in seeing some of the craftsmen (like the one who examined the void sword or the one who created the star for Tala’s sanctum speaking as “kind of equals” to the constructionists.
