"Rumor had it that the temple's gargoyles were ancient beings of flesh and bone transformed into stone. The Little Faun had found an ancient book, telling this story and filled with occult incantations. He used it! And he wasn't disappointed when the creature that emerged from the stone calmly explained that after a millennium frozen like this, there was only one thing it wanted to do... and the Little Faun was more than willing to help!"

I wanted to try and find a way of mixing the "comic book" style I use for Dicksies and Short Stories with a style closer to digital painting, like some drawings you may have already seen (if not, scroll down! they're all in high definition here). I'm pretty happy with the result, although there's certainly a lot of work left to do. Expect me to spend some weeks doing drawings in this style :D

The high-definition version and the "wet" version are exclusive to Patreon.

I've also attached the time-lapse where you can see me struggling to find the right proportions, the right lines, the right colors... (gif above and mp4 attached).

For the next post, I'll go back to the Yeti!
