Hello NeRBs,

We're very excited to announce that the Prologue and Chapter One of our new legacy series, Betrayal Legacy, will go live on the 21st of December.

The Prologue will be public and Chapter 1 will be immediately available to you, lovely patrons. Thank you all so much for your support on Patreon. We couldn't make No Rolls Barred without you. And welcome to all the new Patreons who've just joined! This is off the back of our Blood on the Clocktower double release over last weekend (one went public on YouTube, and the other was exclusively here on Patreon). It was a great success, and the NeRB Patreon community grows! We would love to give the public another taste of our BOTC back catalogue so they know what they are missing. This means we will make one of our old Patreon BOTC episodes accessible to the public on Saturday 7th of December. On that same day, your new Patreon exclusive episode of Blood on the Clocktower will drop concurrently. This is not something we will make a habit of, and we will be releasing a BOTC episode that is months old – none of the recent releases. We are ever so grateful for your continuing support and we hope that you have enjoyed our recent new cast addition for Blood On The Clocktower – there will be more incredible talent joining us soon! Thank you so much for everything and have a wonderful day!The NRB Team x

New member here and I’m glad to have joined! <3

Geoffrey Mason

Thank you for telling us when Betrayal Legacy will drop. I have been checking every day thinking I was missing it cause it kept getting announced. Love this update and excited for Christmas now!

Mike Wolfe

Thank you for the continued update on The continued daddy Ben/Jon feud episodes

Angus Noble

No complaints here. Whatever gets more people on board and keeps the channel in operation imo

geeoharee

Releasing one from the back catalogue sounds like a great idea

Christopher Cook

I'm 100% on board for releasing formerly exclusive episodes if that gets you all more revenue. I want you guys paid for your efforts and able to make content without worrying. Happy content creators make good content and I'm happy to help on patreon.

Edith

I guess that means we only have one more episode of King’s Dilemma left! I am excited for the new game though 🙂‍↕️ also no complaints from me about backlog releases if it gets new people on board ✋🏻

Jack Tempest

Imagine the surprise if the old episode has Mr. A in it. It would be pleasant for sure.

Deacon Maze

Show the masses the genius of our leader and all the glory of Dommunism!

Angus Noble

And could potentially test the waters...

Michael Long

Just subscribed. Only found out about you guys on YouTube about a month ago and I love it! Glad to be supporting ❤️

The Hungriest of Hippos

Personally I have no problem with the older releases going to YouTube for advertising purposes, if that makes any difference to note

Mr. Samuel Scratch

Personally I'm fine with using old exclusives to draw in new Patrons. I am THRILLED for the start of Betrayal Legacy! I've always wanted to play, but getting 5 friends together is like herding cats. Cats being distracted by Blair.

Michael Bekhet

Like others have said, I have no issues with releasing some of the older exclusives as a way to entice more to join the Patreon.

Nav

Release the clocks!

SueAnne Hamel

I’m so excited! My favorite legacy game is releasing on my birthday.

Ben Turner

I hope Adam is back playing BOTC soon

Phil D

Will probably upgrade my sub once the new legacy game starts, so am looking forward to it! I think releasing an older BOTC episode to entice new patreons is a decent plan!

Aquilessa

Releasing old Patreon content was the reason why I became a Patron!

Drjos

Might I suggest the following way of working. I would love to see you guys release more of the old BotC videos to everyone, so why not do this like every 6 months and have the patreons votes on which one gets released. I would say we get to pick from those that are 12 till 7 months old so we are guaranteed 6 months exclusivity on those videos, they aren't too old and we get to choose our favourite.

TheIndoorsman

I think that the only thing releasing older Patreon only content will do is make the channel viewership and patronage go up thereby ensuring that I get more NRB which is obviously a win for me.

Matthew Zahnzinger

Ooo... love everything about this. I played Betrayal Legacy years ago and thought it was fantastic, but you're basically out of luck in the US if you want to find a copy for not exorbitant prices. I'm pleasantly surprised to see you were able to get a copy, and can't wait to see what twists your own journey with the game will take!

Okello

...What could possobly go wrong?!

Okello

I joined Patreon to support your public work when your laughs provided me with support. While the exclusives are a nice to have, I don't feel robbed if one or two pieces of content goes to the public, at least in service of increasing the number of supporters. It means possibly more people will join and allow for more (possibly expensive) content.

Ryan Towers

Honestly I wouldn't mind making it a monthly thing of releasing a old BOTC episode the same day as you release a new one, it would probably be a good way to entice in new patreons on a consistant basis

Thomas 'Kranodor' Hahn

I join Patreons to support the freely available public stuff that drew me in in the first place, I usually don't do it for exclusives. I understand that some people need to be enticed that way, but most Patreons I support - the ones I've been on the longest and the happiest with - tend to only offer early access, usually a few days to a month, and maybe a different version (without sponsor reads, for example). I know I'm probably a minority opinion, but I wouldn't just accept or "not mind" releasing "some" older episodes, but I would actively applaud and prefer if Patreon exclusivity was more of a time-limited early access, and all episodes eventually made their way into the public. But I also don't know the NRB Patreon crowd well enough, and don't know how much the necessary revenue depends on the enticement of those juicy exclusives being actual, full-on exclusives - and after all, I'm a lowly Loyal Piglet (6.50) backer, too many different Patreons to go any higher, but then again - we're talking about BotC, which is the exclusive content on "my" tier.

Adam Zielinski

I'm on the patreon to support you! Plus getting things early is nice. 100% doesn't bother me if you guys release rhe back catalogue, especially if it helps the community grow !

Gregory Stewart

Please release more BOTC publicly. I think the best model would be what you all did for the Monday Night War streams: release the episode to Patreon one week early. I can guarantee most of us on Patreon would be happy with that.

Dean Carruthers

Much like many of the fine folk here have already mentioned, I signed up to Patreon to support everything you do... I have no issues with you releasing older content to the wider community.

Marcus

Recently joined the Patreon (had been meaning to do it for ages, sorry!). But love what you do and am here to support your work. Much like others have said, I like the idea of publishing older eps so hopefully you can keep doing what you do best. Get on board! (P.S. Hoping for an Adam guest appearance in 2025)

Burgundy

That's what I'm hoping. Especially with Angela being back in the new BOTC. I was hoping they were testing how people reacted

Micah Newby

I look at my l patronages like I look at my travel; I don't go to places, I go to people. I have neither a dog in the fight nor a care in the world the level of exclusive access, though time was I did care about the latter. Unless you start like, legitimately taking candy from babies or something I will remain on board

Micah Newby

Are we sure the cats aren't doing the distracting if Blair is the, ahem, Sheppard? Of all the analogies in the world you could have picked, thank you for choosing the one you did 🤣

Lindsay M.H.

I joined your Patreon to make sure the channel can thrive. I get very frustrated when I see people commenting all about exclusives and perks. I'm all for you guys doing whatever it takes to keep NRB growing and doing well!

Jordan Goodwin

Honestly every few months drop an old clocktower episode to draw more people to sign up to patreon. Wouldn't hurt my feelings or make me feel cheated at all.

Simfers

Joining my voice to the chorus encouraging you to release older exclusives to the public on a semi-regular basis! I just want you all to do well! Exclusives are more a delightful bonus. Also joining the OTHER chorus hoping we see Adam back soon. He is missed and seeing him on Angela's channel has been lovely. He's lost none of his passion and enthusiasm. On the off-chance he sees this, I want to apologize to him for judging him guilty without his side of the story. That was wrong of me and I am genuinely sorry for contributing, however minutely, to his anguish over this last, what, year? I felt it needed to be said.

Daniel Taylor

Why do I always get “sign in to confirm your not a bot”

Angry Badger

I gotta wait till the 21st? *heavy breathing* I’ve been anticipating this!

Andreas Woetzold

I've been waiting for this ... it's gonna be great :)

Funk McPuke

For any Patron who might not be thrilled that they're releasing previously Patreon-exclusive episodes, let me say this: It was this previously Patreon-exclusive episode released on the 7th that finally convinced me to become a Patron. Using old episodes as a loss-leader to entice in people sitting on the fence is smart biz, imo, and it def works. And, ofc, the more people there are giving these fine folk money, the longer they can continue making content for all of us, both free and paid. Btw, I can't wait for this new Legacy series. I've been wanting them to get back into this for a loooong time! 'Til then, I now have a HUGE mountain of content to dive into and binge, so if you'll excuse me...

Richard Hicks

Appreciate the episode releases but folk need to just drop the Adam thing. He messed up, yes there was some unnecessary fallout but I can't imagine there is great feelings either between folk after hearing about his cheating on someone they were likely also friends with outside of TDM. That was old NRB, the new NRB has a much better vibe imo, and the new cast members are fantastic! I hope NRB continue to look to the future than drag up the past. Had to be said.

Alan Michael

So what if we release these BOTC videos to the public a year after being exclusive? I think that will bring many people in to the patron "we have 12 more videos waiting on you just with BOTC" is a hell of a draw.

Steve Skew

I think releasing old BOTC episodes is brilliant!!!

DanH

Is this for all tiers, because I cant seem to find it and loved the YT video

Maarja Laadi

I think it's starting from 11.50 tier, I'm currently on a lower tier and can't see it either.

DanH

Thanks for the response would have been great as NRB had made that info public if so. Edit: Oh it is on the tierpricings. Maybe missed that announcement, but feels shitty imo as a long term member.

Mabbzie

I think with Kings Dilemma coming to an end this is a terrible decision to put the new legacy series on the higher tier. It's one thing subscribing to the patreon and only getting a couple of videos a month as it is, but to expect us to pay extra for a new legacy series that will fundamentally replace Kings Dilemma, that's a bad call. I think I'll end up cancelling my membership when Kings ends, rather then upgrading for the same content, which will have the opposite effect to what they're going for. Unless, of course, Betrayal is a secondary legacy series for that tier and above only, with a new lower tier series planned.

Arabella

How do I get to see chapter one of betrayal legacy? I am looking for it but do not see it.

Zac

Cant lie, it feels a bit scummy that the new series has been bumped up to the highest tier. I love the channel but i cant really justify this membership being that expensive. The middle tier already ends up being £7.20 per month

Gildersleeve

Unfortunately, it looks like it’s part of the “You’re a NeRB” tier at $11.50/mo. You can find it in the collections tab if you don’t see it on your feed.

Morten Elgaard Pedersen

Not quite sure what makes Betrayal Legacy a higher tier than other lets play's? As much as I enjoy the channel and supporting you, it feels a bit weird.

aerion111 .

I hope the Betrayal game being a higher tier is either temporary or a mistake. Its basically replacing Kings Dillemma after all

Nicholas Caldwell

I was going to suggest something similar -- but I think that might flood the market a bit. But maybe release say one a quarter?
