Hail to the Nerbs!

Exciting news: we had such a lovely time chatting to you all a while back on our live Q&A with Dom and Sullivan, we thought we’d do another one for all Patreon tiers including Free Members!

JOIN US on Tuesday 22nd July at 4pm UK time, where Dom, Sullivan and Laurie will be answering YOUR burning questions about behind the scenes here at NRB, and no doubt having plenty of joyous banter along the way.

Not only that, but we’ll be announcing what’s coming up on the Patreon this month, as well as chatting about COALITION; what the game was like, how we made the video, and whether Sullivan survived Josephine’s wrath!

There’s going to be plenty to talk about, so get your questions in the comments below on this post, and we’ll do our best to answer as many as we can! See you RIGHT HERE, Tuesday 22nd 4pm-5pm UK time.

Edith

Woooo can’t wait!

Leigh Payne

Any ideas what games you guys want to play this year for spooky month?

21Pandas_

I'm so sorry about Trump being there when Chelsea won

Will B

Any chance of any Star Wars games coming ahead?

Sabine

What does a typical work day look like?

Martin Burch

I get the impression that creating each new "Monopoly, But..." episode is a lot more work than most episodes of other series. Is that true? What would it take to persuade you to keep making regular "Monopoly, But..." episodes? (Further to that question, for ideas for more episodes, how about mashing up other games from Board Game Club with Monopoly?)

Simfers

Boring question perhaps, but how are your Patreons going (NRB/CN)? Satisfied?

Martin Burch

I realise that you and the NRB cast and crew will be very excited about the cruise, particularly as it gets closer to the dates and then when you actually travel and join the ship. But what will you do to make sure the rest of us Patreons and viewers who aren't going on the cruise ship will continue to receive the usual quality and quantity of entertaining, fun, silly, and friendly videos? (e.g. Will you be filming and/or live streaming from the cruise? Will you have recorded a lot of videos in advance as a "buffer" to be launched during the period of the travel and the cruise itself?)

Kevin Fleuriot

It was great meeting you guys at UKGE, what was your experience of the weekend ?

Tom Langham

On the NRB Cruise, apart from the board games, what event, activity or location are you most looking forward to?

TalenVire

What upcoming game are you most looking forward too and what game that you have played this year has been your favorite?

Joe Croton

NRB Live on my Birthday? My Prayers Have been answered. My question is this. In your opinion what is the worst character in BoTC?

Steve Pellikaan

I have a question that you may not want to answer. I’ve noticed that some of your NRB regulars have been doing some game videos with a former NRB member’s new channel. Is this causing problems among your group?

Malgus

is there a chance in the future to bring back communist monopoly?

Kyle Hart

Any chance you guys might do a few rounds of dice throne or dice throne adventures for a board game club?

Angel and Gaz

Having watched NRB play Telestrations at the UKGE (our son Dylan drew 'Peanut butter' on behalf of Dom during the audience participation section and loved the entire experience), have you thought about filming the live shows and making them available unedited for Patrons?

Cheeseable

It feels like NRB's been rather musical as of late. What are some of your favourite artists/genres/just fav music to reference?

Emma Z.

Are there any games that you wish you could play on the channel but you just feel they won’t record well or would be too hard to edit into a video?

Amy-Rose

Hey guys, Love the content. I always wondered, what is your relationship with board games outside of the channel? Like do you still choose to play them when hanging out with friends? Also as a sillier question, do you have a favorite spot to sit around the table?

Kelly Bell

What is one board game you would endlessly play on the channel if you could?

Brittany

Have you thought about doing a live board game interaction? Something silly, easy, and fun to play and the commenters choose what you guys do in the YouTube chat. Also, love your channel and all of the new cast additions. (Teegan and Sully make a great gaming pair) <3

City of Illustrations

Would you ever do shows/tours around the UK in places that arnt the major city's Like London, Birmingham and Manchester? I live in norfolk and travel isn't easy for me, would love to come see u guys live one day.

Ashar

Do the NRB cast ever do board game content on other channels? Or have favorite other board game channels? I got into board game content through yall and don't know where to start branching out to find more!

Leigh Payne

What are the top 5 games you want to play on the channel that you haven't played on the channel before?

Ben Turner

Is there any kickstarter games you’re considering backing?

Ben Turner

Can we have some behind the scenes on how board game club is recorded and edited?

Mike Baker

Has Teri left the channel permanently or will we see her back?

Anonymous Geoff

What is ET Short for? Are there any games you'd like to play on the channel, but that don't fit the format? (Either very short games, or big strategy games) Are the multiple channels your choice or is it forced by the YouTube algorithm?

Anonymous Geoff

Do you have board game origin stories? Were you all into board games first or just friends who got into board games more as the channel developed? Did the channel happen because you all liked games, or did the channel get created first and then you all joined?

xOxXiX

More a request :) You've had Mandala Stones, Meadow and Picture Perfect sat behind you on the shelves for three years now! Just dust them off and okay them already ! Thankyou x

quantum_melody

Do you have any plans to do another legacy-style series after Betrayal is completed?

Cyan Droplet

In Blood on the Clocktower, you sometimes talk about having to re-rack because of killing the demon really early. How often does that happen? Would you consider releasing those games as little bonus episodes? I think they would also be fun to watch and might help the viewers understand why Ben always seems to be helping the evil team!

Jack

Do you feel that the Blood on the Clocktower episodes against each other prepare you well for BOTC against other non-NRB players? Such as the upcoming Demon's Wake event

James Wright

If you could only eat chocolate or cheese for the rest of your life, which would it be?

quantum_melody

What is the process for recording and editing the online BOTC episodes? How long does a game typically take (unedited)?

Simon Hicks

Has Tilly had any divaesque demands since becoming LOTB?

quantum_melody

Will you ever do a player perspective game of BOTC?

Rex

How has the growing community/popularity affected the channel's vibe and mission? How do you guys manage to stick with the "friends playing boardgames vibe" rather than a more corporate feel (I know sponsors are unavoidable).

Zachery Brook

What is the general business setup, ie. Who's the owner, who runs things and makes the big decisions (we all know It should be dom of course #loyalpiglet), are you employees or freelance workers? Also how much does YouTube premium aid in channel revenue opposed to regular ad revenue?

Claudia

Five reasons why your football is better than my football (US). Don't start with your record number of toilets in the stadium! We have like 20 toilets for 107,000 people ;)

Beemer Tectonic

Laurie: If you could wave a magic wand and fix anything about video production, what would it be? (Other than air conditioning for the studio.) Dom: You're good at accents! Did you study or practice, or is it natural? Are there any that are especially tricky or fun? Sully: What are your most & least favorite things about sketch comedy?

Beemer Tectonic

What's something you love that most people don't, or that is underappreciatd?

Mikael

Have you had any successful games that were just too brutal to record that you wouldn't do them again? And sort of on the flip side, have there been any games that you know are good, but didn't turn out well on video?

Claudia

how do we find this live stream?

Andrew Newton

I've seen "The Crew" show up on the games shelf back in the Draughts era (possibly after too?). Have you ever played this one before and is it something you'd consider on the channel? Has the unique mechanic of being a fun, easy-to-learn coop game while also designed to be continued over multiple installments.

CoupDQ9race

Will there be any way to watch the Question Time show that Sully and Rosie did with Milo Edwards, and is there any chance of the Grubbs going on Glue Factory?

Rex

Have you guys considered doing some more things with the NRB patreon discord? Right now it's a bit quieter, just a few active people. A bit of a refresh or renovation might make it a more enticing benefit for patrons.

Ethan Howells

Have any of you played blue prince? If not might we see it featured on ctrifreaks? Maybe as a chilled live stream?
