I'm in the exact same situation! My two favorite things on the internet are Chaotic Neutral and NRB Clocktower games. All I have left of the Alien RPG is the Patreon exclusive episode (watched the pre-game and the public game last night). I'm so torn.

Didn't the storytellers just totally forget about the princess x cannibal jinx there? Because Tilly did exactly what it says there - nominate, execute & kill the princess - which should to my understanding have stopped Jon from killing her the next night. Did I miss something?

The way I understand it, Tilly was not the princess when they nominated, and only got the ability in the night, & as it's a Day one ability, the power can only be used the day following the night which the Cannibal got the ability. Could be wrong, it's my first time seeing the role.

Yeah, that's makes the error even more baffling. I get that it's a new role and that running a game is different to someone just watching but it probably could've changed the entire outcome of the game.

If Alex on the final night had simply made herself mad that Mara was evil and then came out and said " I think mara is good" then the storytellers would have killed her and game would have ended

I'm confused about the Princess Cannibal jinx. Shouldn't that have triggered when Tilly ate Dom or did she need to execute someone else?

I love that this game had... A Cannibal Princess A Pixie Princess A Philosopher Princess (Wonder what Plato would have thought) and A Gay Princess

Man a evil amnesiac with disability and figure it out could just name an off script demon. Just be mad that it’s a Zombull game. Also what happens if the ogre picks the goon and it’s the 1st time The goon has been picked? Goon can’t become the alignment of the ogre if the ogre is trying to become the alignment of the goon? What happens if little Monster is being held by the saint and is executed ? Can games end it a draw 🤣

Spoilers: I have so many mixed opinions on this game because so many people played optimally on both teams and so many didn’t… Imo good team was kinda screwed after night 1 due to Ken and Jon’s choices, then completely messed up what they were doing, but somehow managed to claw any semblance of the game back because the evil team didn’t use their chance to stand together? It is kinda frustrating to see Dom, Holly, Blair, and Tilly be so screwed by the ways their abilities 1) barely worked if at all or 2) in the case of Holly’s, seemed actively detrimental. Evil played pretty well and so I’m not mad they won but I think this set up was very unfortunate for good.

Jon had some stunning plays in this, he's come a long way in playing Evil! I love the concept of the Princess but I'm saddened that it never really works out, I think it should be reworked. Like if you make it to final 5 and successfully execute an evil player, the Demon cannot kill again?

If they figure out their ability, yeah. But as you can see they had slim chance of that happening. Games never end in a draw. If everyone dies good is considered to have won.

Unfortunate games happen, sometimes good just kills the demon randomly right away. In comparison they made it to final 3 and I would say that the Harpy had a real good chance of screwing up their picks if for example she made mara mad that John was evil, she would have no reason to fight it.

pretty sure it's a may kill not forced to kill for that madness break. though making dom mad mara was evil would possibly have gotten a kill.

Yeah it seems like this episode was pre-recorded before the Princess was released (from the character art, it seems like they just added it in as a Homebrew character) so the jinx didn’t come up on the script like it normally would (which is likely why Ben said he didn’t have the full text of it available), so they forgot the jinx when it happened

After Mara voted on Sullivan, I’m surprised the 3 alive evil players hadn’t voted on Mara to effectively end the game. Get a draw, and let the demon kill Mara in the night. Was a fun game to watch but as a natural good team supporter sensed it was tilting evil most of the way.

In the final night, couldn't Alex just have made herself Harpy mad that Mara was evil and then broken madness, thus resulting in the execution of one of them and thus ending the game?

Hey! Because breaking madness is only a MIGHT be killed by the Storyteller it’s not a guaranteed route to success. When I personally Storytell I would probably not pull the trigger in Final 3 because it feels a bit Kingmakery to me. I feel like the votes should duke it out at this point. Don’t know what Ben’s call would’ve been but I personally play in a way that doesn’t make assumptions that the ST will help me to victory

I really wish they would put the full script on screen in these videos like you see in the app itself. That would definitely improve the watching experience to know what all of the possibilities are.

Ben's amazing but made a bit of a horlicks of this game between choosing an Outsider Amnesiac ability that even if discovered would have never stood a chance of helping town and, more egregiously, not giving Tilly the Princess ability when she nominated and killed Dom, meaning that no death should have happened that night.

Not really: Sam, Mara and Dom had a confirmation trio and should have recongised they were all Good which was strong. Mara's decision not to confirm herself as a Pixie on that day was arguably not the best play and they could have turned their attention to the bottom of the grim. Sully was already confirmed not the demon and had guessed Holly - meaning that if they trusted that then the demon HAD to be Tilly, Jon or Alex from as early as Day 2.

This one was fun but weird lol. I hope we get another princess game (and maybe we have since I'm a few eps behind). It seems a cool role and if we do see it again, I hope it's without the philo/cannibal/pixie thing because that just meant like 3 people had utterly useless roles. Four if you count Holly and her amnesiac ability (which, again, I hope we see again because it's a cool idea just wound up not working for this game. This one feels like an asterisk game. Evil won, sure, but things like the cannibal + princess interaction not firing put them at an advantage that wasn't earned. Which isn't a dig, they played well. Just par for the course with a new character script with a lot of interactions.

I reckon this Amnesiac ability would have worked better if Holly was woken up in the night and asked something general like 'how do you think the games going?'

Spoilers I loved seeing Sullivan's excitement about being the psychopath so much! John was so considerate picking him for a fun outed role haha. Mara is a great ghost-princess-pixie. Sully being able to immediately out himself as evil to Ken was so great as well! Also evil won as soon as Mara nominated the psychopath (but I guess evil let it continue for. content + style points? It was a lovely way to end the game!). In order for good to make it to the next day they needed to get enough votes to execute the psychopath so princess could activate. If no evil voted, good would've needed to waste enough dead votes (4 thanks to Ken) so that evil wouldn't tie it and immediately win. With 4 dead votes gone, they couldn't have gotten the demon. Shows I've been watching too much. Great games! Thanks to NRB + Ben for them
