Adam nice Hail Mary at the end. Elliot, don't listen to mean posts: everyone is new at one time. Also to Jon & Sully: I would PAY to see that version of "Home Alone!". 🤣

Alison Scudds

Appreciate the inclusion of Sully’s ode to Bo Burnham 🤣🤣

Sarah A

Yeahhhhh this was such a good script ruined by having such shy and clueless demon rip

Tammy Driessen

Wow, I'm awestruck by Carley. What's it like to be that clear-minded? She's amazing. And Laurie guessing the Pukka too! Well done everyone. Love it that everyone in the group is a great character. What fun. Thank you.

Crapoleon

It was insanely unfair to have Carley Vs. Elliot. One of them should've been dropped really because from what I've seen, BotC can't have such a massive gulf in experience or ability.

Laura Cooper

I think a mixture of experience and ability to figure things out makes a great game. It's what gives the game such a broad appeal to play as you can have fun even if you make a complete pig's ear of it.

Player13

Ppl want to point out Elliot's inexperience, but I daresay Carley might not have so quickly deduced everything if Ben didn't make a mistake with the Chambermaid read

Player13

If Ben didn't need to make the Deus Ex play, then team bad could've stayed longer under the radar. All good though, mistakes happen and its just a game at the end. No need for the shade on Ben or Elliot

Alan Michael

I know this is an old episode, but the hate for Elliot is insane! People complain that he didn't read the roll and had to look up everything; in the very next episode literally EVERYONE did that. It was a new script, it's gonna happen. People also claim that they tried to talk to their demon right away, while Adam did the exact same thing 2 episodes ago. This is Patreon, I thought you guys would be better than this.

Darren Foster

On the average Courtier script there is at least 3-4 possible demons, if there is a Courtier on the script as the demon you have to be making everyone think it's some other kind of demon: * If you are a Po charge if there is no nomination and blame it on it being a Zombuul game before you tear through half the good team and probably kill the Courtier anyway. * If you are the Pukka you want to be pushing for everyone info having no problem so people think it's a Po or whatever other one kill a night demon exists. * Etc. If the Courtier works out which demon you are Good basically wins the game it's impossible to come back from that and rightly so.

Callum McKenzie

Courtier is so OP if they nail the demon!

ElloryQueen

Watching this over again, I don't think Elliot did that bad at all. If he was able to kill Carley before being drunk, that would have really helped. Also, Laurie making him drunk was just the end right there, and it would have been hard for even an experienced player to come back from that.

John

I'm just now (finally) watching the backlog of Patreon BotC, even though I've been a member for 18 months. Elliott might have been new, but they clearly weren't ready for this. As a Demon they really should have looked up the powers that they bluffing, what they would be willing to tell about their powers, and who they had used them on. They were bluffing innkeeper. They shold have decided whether or not they, as an innkeeper, would be willing to tell people they were the innkeeper, and they should have had in their mind who they were protecting. After fumbling their entire conversation with Carley, I think she could have nominated them purely on vibes without any corroborating evidence. With corroborating evidence, evil was doomed. Not purely because of Elliott. Carley is really, really good at this game. But Elliott was clearly not prepared, and they didn't know the rules for the roles on the script. I don't know how much time they had to learn the script, but... yeah, I dunno.... It wasn't a good job by Elliott for whatever reason, whether inexperience, lack of skill, or something else. Thing is, Jon has hard time with the rules sometimes, he often needs them explained more than once, but he does fine in the games he's in. So maybe Elliott just needs more experience.... I can't remember if they've been in any of the recent episodes, but I hope this was just an inexperienced player being absolutely wailed on by a superior one.

Courtney Sink

I guess Sully was just as in love with Inside as I was! All Eyes on Me, such a banger.

Ryan Sprague

Man... throwing a relative newb into the deep end as the demon of such a complicated script was harsh. I know it's random, but given the disparity in experience levels, I feel like I would have re-randomized that one so as to not put all the pressure on Elliot there. They also appear to be a terrible liar... so... I dunno. I don't want to be mean but maybe this isn't the game for them.

Aaron C

I know this comment is two years old, but it still rings true for BOTC episodes today. I know that the evil team needs to get information, so going beyond day 2 would be risky. However, a lot of first interactions are evil team getting together.

Adam Westaway

This one was a bit of a painful watch 😬 I can see why they made it a Patreon rather than a general YT. Poor Elliott

Lara

Honesty think Evil did do a good job and it was just a very hard script for them. The Courtier is really powerful, especially in a pukka game because pukka seems pretty easy to identify (there wasn't much talk of other demon choices ) and the pukka has a disadvantage of having to decide one night before who they want to kill. Then the courtier was even backed up by the grandmother and the sailor is also a character that is often believed which corrobareted Carley. And to have the deck so stacked against them but still have the theoretical possibility where they could have painted a very plausible world that Elliot as the Innkeeper happened to protect the right people on the nights the demon could not kill and to blame Adam who would have wasted 2 nights to execute was really good in my book. Often at this late in the game with so many confirmed players evil doesnt even have a logical world to paint.

Kathleen Goetting

Bahahha brutal. Good sport to anyone who’s unfamiliar with the game to come on and do a recording like this!

Ewan Macdonald

I'm not sure why but I would kinda want to see the footage of a failed game or a really quick one just to see everyone's reactions to it aha

Quinn Hogan

I'd recommend the BOTC YouTube channel where they have a 25 minute game not NRB people but still an fun watch

Susan Shepperd

Oh, there is one on YouTube - search for "Mistakes were Made"

Jack Marriott

Two new BOTC's in one week?! I may die from nerdgasm!

Austin

Cheers for all the content

Brandon VanGieson

First custom script, now Patron videos. Seriously just feed this BotC content into my veins!!!

William Rosmer

is this the end of patreon exclusive botc?

Joey Palermo

Didn’t know I needed to hear Jon and Sully talk about the optics and potential alternative endings of Home Alone for ~5 minutes but I did and it’s my new favorite thing

Beth

They need to patch BOTC to nerf Carley, she’s op.

Gerrit Coulter

I really don't mean this as any type of hate. But it does seem like every game ends because Carly solves it. Might be better to have a more even playing field.

Simfers

That was lovely as always, thank you! Quick question, if this was the third of the trilogy, does that mean that the next Patreon exclusive vids will be of another game?

whenitmatters

Thanks to Sully for showing me that song.... its great. Weird how we find music sometimes.

ExcitabilityMayOccur

I honestly feel for evil on this one. Elliott doesn't have the experience with the game other players do and it is hard to watch good choices be derailed by confusion.

Troy Carter

Adam's "please" at 1:21:46 when Carley asks if she can take everyone through her information might be the most damning testimony.

Adrian Praetorius

I dont think Carley need to be "nerfed" or even removed from the group, but off course playing an advanced script, with players that dont even know the roles, will favour the more experienced players. There is a reason why it is strongly recommeded to start with a few games of TB before switching it up. If you play regulary (or just watch experienced players like Ben), you will avoid rookie mistakes that were made through this whole playthrough (not preparing your "fake choices", or as an innkeeper not talking to people you protect to warn them about drunkeness etc) The deciding question, is what these games should be: Entertaining- very much, Advanced, well thought BotC games - not that much (but the BotC Channel has plenty of that) :)

SorceressFeraly

Carley casually solving the game while decorating a cake is fantastic and funny at the same time! I really feel for Elliot here. It was a rough setup to begin with when a tea lady ended up between two evils that obviously wouldn't want to be tested, Brook came out with her role very openly, bringing up questions why any demon would have targeted her if they acted the second night, leaving a clear drinking choice for the grandmother-confirmed courtier.

Joshua Hammack

Oh boy Laurie did not need people to listen to him to win the game. Carley is still epic. Great that she is on the side of good for a change.

Jeremy Burnet

Haha the alternate Home Alone plot was hilarious! Genuinely gave me the giggles

Jeffra

Is anyone else unable to open full screen view? I’m trying to watch on the app through my iPad. With the NRB banner at the top and Patreon bar at the bottom, half the screen is blocked!

David Shanahan

It’s pretty funny when Adam is visibly upset at losing. Also maybe Elliott could have tried arguing that there was nothing to confirm Angela and this late in the game she’s not nominating because she thinks someone is the demon but to test her ability; then again there was no real point because of Laurie

David Shanahan

There was that episode where Blair & Issac were evil and lost by night day two

DonAthos

Carley is delightful. A shame we can only see her in BotC vids, but I'll take what I can get!

Matthew

Jon’s fringe in this episode is incredible

Mitchel Ragan

I really want to know if there is a full version of the theme that plays during the opening and closing. If there isn’t, there should be

Josh Walker

From the last two BOTC all I know is Elliot needs some practice at bluffing & being evil. Just relies far too much on talking to their minion. Doesn’t help that Carley is sharp as hell either

Josh Walker

Adam also look genuinely fuming at Elliot

Doug etue

Will there be any more patreon exclusive botct this year or in 2022?

Greg Kleinfall

No one ever corrected Angela about her power. It only protects if BOTH of her alive neighbors are good.

willowthewisp91

I feel for bad on this team. No intention to take anything away from team good, Great job, just felt like as a die hard mystery fan that there were holes in their evidence. Kinda like getting the right answer the wrong way back in school. So from a viewer a bit frustrating but, enjoyable as hell anyway

Matthew Bantang

Yah I mean once Elliot was talking to Carly alone I was pretty sure that it was gonna be over soon. And the second Carly said "and look who's talking" and it cut to Elliot and Adam talking I was like oh this is over haha. But Laurie with that courtier play was a great shout.

Dradkyn

Elliot really want a good demon. He kept stumbling over his own words and whenever someone called him out of something he never had a good response. And he was also very bad at getting a grip on what was going on in the game.

Lucifer4077

I appreciate Sully getting All eyes on me stuck in my head for a week

Luis H

Lol anyone catch adam messaging elliot last second to tell elliot to nominate him? haha nice try XD

Emir Samardzic

I still think Courtier should be nerfed in a way. Three nights and three days is way too long. Most games, it's half, or more than half of the game that someone is drunk. Also, these guys are insanely good at guessing which demon is in play, so if Courtier is not killed day one or two the latest, it's game over for sure.

Mikey N

I imagine it was Elliott's first game or they were a new player. He gets much better in later games.

Dradkyn

After a rewatch, Elliot is the worst player on NRB. Totally blew it. I feel bad for Adam. He was fuming.

Jordan Robertshaw-Jowett

It's awkward watching Elliot on this channel, he's way too shy for something like this.

Neil Barnard

I'm literally in near tears of laughter over the home alone bit!!!

Dradkyn

Elliot has played before and each time they are horrible. They can’t lie, they make dumb decisions, and constantly use illogical thinking to do nothing or throw the game for whichever team they are on
