There was quite literally a kid's cartoon in the '80s/'90s called "Dino Riders." It's about two warring alien factions that go back in time and befriend/enslave dinosaurs. Felt like one of those "how could this possibly fail?" ideas that nevertheless absolutely went down in flames.
