Merry Christmas NeRBs! You may have noticed that we didn’t organise a Patreon poll last month to pick the game for the Patreon Exclusive online Board Game Club. The reason is that we have a special Christmas gift instead... an exclusive In-person Board Game Club.  Our wonderful cast played Deadwood 1876, kindly sent to us by Facade Games, and they had an incredible amount of fun role-playing as terrible, terrible Wild West terrors. Calamity Jane (Molly-Rose), Reverend Smith (Jon) and Poker Alice (Rosie) are the worst characters to ever appear on NRB. I MEAN IT! IN A GOOD WAY! Unfortunately, due to a post-production snafu, we've only got the main camera angles - but our amazing editor JAMES PEPPER has done a terrific job to keep all robbing and backstabbing glory. Enjoy Deadwood 1876! Yeehaw!!

Awesome, another game in the Dark Cities series. There hasn't been one I dislike yet.

Lee Dellbridge

Honestly I'd just prefer an in person mystery over the poll.

Bryon

Love it! Thank you so much for the great video.

James

Me too. To be honest most of the polls end up as "which of these games is most well known"

Phil Watkins

I 2nd that we could do without the poll, would be more interested in being exposed to new games than whatever is the most popular on the list.

Jake Samuels

Oh gosh you weren't kidding about Calamity Jane, Reverend Smith, and Poker Alice. That episode was absolutely wild.

Martin Burch

I agree that the polls to choose which game to play have reached the end of their value, because they have become more about which games have been heard of by most people. However I think involving people in decisions about NRB (and now Chaotic Neutral as well) is important. It is one way that helps people continue to feel part of something, and therefore continue to pay to be a Patreon supporter and help the channel content continue to be made. While there continue to be other ways that people are involved in decisions about the channels (e.g. Patreon comments, the Discord, YouTube comments, other social media…), I am struggling to think of other ideas for ongoing uses of Patreon polls. Does anyone have any ideas?

Emily G.

Maybe a poll for genre of game or something like that? That would mean we still have an input but also they can play games that are not as well known for us Patreons

Lee Dellbridge

Yeah but then RPG would win every time lol.

Thominatorx7

An instant classic. Loved every moment.

John

The first thing that occured to me when the episode started was "Wild Bill Hiccup" from Western Legends. So happy to see the callback.

Andrew Janiczek

British people going in and out of western cowboy accents will always butter my biscuit/crumpet.

Andrea Maurizi

this is one of the best videos yall ever done lol

WyckedWyzard

It would be great if you added a list of each player in the descriptions of every episode. While everyone is lovely, I hunt down which videos has Rosie in it because she is just hilarious.

Dradkyn

Use the wiki

WyckedWyzard

The wiki doesn't have an appearances list for Rosie like it does for others :(
