Hi everyone,

I want to update you on what's been going on with me lately, since it affects what I do here.

This past week has been terrible. The last three days have been devastating.

I wish I could easily find the motivation to create when things are collapsing in my life, and without getting into too much detail, it has a lot to do with financial insecurity, but it is hard. And on top of that, I've had problems with my PC. The last Windows update broke my recording settings. After days of trying to fix it, the conclusion is that I can put bandaids on it (which I did, and I'll try recording something, but if it's too awful, I'll probably have worked on the video for nothing), but the setup I've been working with for so long doesn't work anymore. I tried everything, and it's just broken. I'm gonna have to invest in a new monitor because apparently what I have now just gets confused by what Windows changed. My games have trembling, lag, and stutter, and it shows on OBS recordings, obviously. I'm so depressed by this, since creating content has become an essential part of my life now, but I can't really afford to fix tech issues without sacrificing something else. And I hope getting a new monitor will finally solve all this, so send positive thoughts towards my PC.

Know that I will try to continue doing this for as long as I can, but if there are times when I share less, know that it has a lot to do with my current situation and job uncertainty (some of you might recall that I'm a freelancer and that what I do has been slowly replaced by AI, and we have now reached a point where I cannot find new work in my field).

I wanted to write this for transparency. I'm not a polished creator and never intend to be, I'm not a brand. I do this because it just makes sense to me. I just want to share what I do and the immense joy I get from seeing people enjoy my creations, whether it's builds, characters, or videos: it is life saving. I'm so lucky that you all are here, and on YouTube. I'm still a small creator, but I value this community more than you know. And to the people who decided to support me, here or on YouTube financially: there aren't a lot of you, but I don't have the words to say how much I appreciate you, and how much your support helps me, especially right now, in my daily life.

Enough yapping, though. Tomorrow will be a new day, and while we wait for it, here are a few screenshots of upcoming projects I've been working on for the past two months and hope to share in the future.

In moments like this, I go back to my notebooks where I write random stuff, including quotes from books I've read. I'll just leave this one from The Return of the King here, in case, like me, you need it in this exact moment in your life:

"There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."

Much love.

other than donations have you considered opening commissions? I'm sure if you opened build commissions it could help bring in some income! I'm sorry I can't do more than promote when I can but I hope you're getting bad luck out the way now because super good luck is coming to balance the scales

You are so sweet, and I can't thank you enough. But I'll do it anyway: thank you. 💜 I thought about build commissions, but I don't know, it feels weird to ask people to pay me to build in the game, haha. Also, if I did, I don't know how to set a fair price. And it's also a lot of time I would not be able to spend on other creative projects for myself. So I don't know.

I understand the feeling, but I do think its more than just building but your unique eye and skills that make it more than a building in the game! So if that's the main worry I think you should put that aside. But I do think the lack of time for your own pursuits is the biggest thing. Maybe you could make a video on the commissioned builds? I'm spitballing but I do wish I could be more helpful! Just do what you can and what feels right!

Hi, i dont follow your work frequently, i ocassionally open the emails Patreon sends me of your work and I have to say. You surprise me everytime. Your builds have that something, that slice of life feel that few creators have. Its hard being an original content creator but hang on, just like good times, bad times wont last forever. I dont even play Sims that often but your work...damn!

I had a windows update absolutely butcher a favorite game of mine. It was a 50/50 toss up whether or not opening the game would freeze and lock up my entire PC or freeze for a few minutes and then play the game normally. You've probably scoured the internet for answers but in case it helps, I had only two options to try and fix it. 1. IIRC Windows has a 10 day update rollback feature. If you're still within those ten days, I would try rolling back or uninstalling the update. Unfortunately for me at the time, I was past the ten days, which left me with the other option. 2. Reinstall windows entirely with a previous, working windows update. I had to backup to an external all my important files and take pictures of settings to reuse later. Tedious, yes but in the end its what worked for me. I had to make a usb with the older windows update to reinstall. Then I had to pause updates on my PC every few weeks because Windows 11 doesn't offer an option to turn them off completely. Very annoying but it was the only way to keep my PC working until Windows decided to release a fix. Of course, that's only talking about one of your problems. But maybe it will also fix the problem with the monitor. I hope everything gets better for you soon <3
