Clarification- the Eastern Orthodox Church is (partly) a branch of Catholicism, or an offshoot of Catholicism, but doesn't adhere to mainstream all mainstream Catholic practices today, and incorporates a lot of Orthodox practices.

The key to understanding Sinnead O Connor is that she’s mental. She also always wants to disagree with you in an ugly way - she’s a contrary crank. If everyone was Muslim she’d say she was a Crusader, etc. If she was in your boxing group you’d kick her out within a week, and she’d be accusing you of this, that and the other. I think she started her own church at some point and ordained herself a priest. Even if she wasn’t mad there’s a badness in her - I don’t think she’s a nice person.
